Chapter 41~Meeting

Meeting-an assembly of people for a particular purpose, especially for formal discussion

Waking up the next day Minhyeon was flooded with anxiety, today was the day Jisung would formally meet her parents. It had been 2 days since their unannounced meeting and to say there was tension between the couple was very true.

"Sungie?"
"Yeah?"
"I'm sorry about everything, I'm sorry if my parents say things that make you uncomfortable about anything,"
"Awww baby don't worry about any of that I can handle anything they say I promise. Now let's finish getting ready then we'll drop Jaemin with the members." These words made Minhyeon panic; this was to be the first time she has left Jaemin alone with someone that isn't Jisung and for more than 10-15 minutes.
"Jisung, I think we should bring Jaemin with us."
"Minhyeon no we can't."
"Please Jisung I cant leave him alone yet,"
"He won't be alone, he's with people we know and trust."
"Ok you may not understand this but since he was born I haven been away from him longer than a few minutes also he was with you and just in a different room, I'm not ready to leave him yet..." pulling her into a hug Jisung allowed her to cry a little as she couldn't bare the thought of leaving her child.

Arriving at the dorms Minhyeon's hold on Jaemin got a little tighter the closer they were. Walking in she was greeted by everyone however didn't say a word or even make any eye contact just walking in and sitting down holding Jaemin.
"Minhyeon it's time for us to leave,"
"Jisung please don't make me leave him." With this tears began to fall from her eyes as she held the small baby while he looked around clueless of what was happening.
"Minhyeon come on he's going to be fine your just making everything harder for him and you." Walking towards Minhyeon, Jisung took the confused baby from his mothers arms and putting him into Chan's before going bald to Minhyeon, pulling her up and heading towards the door. Looking behind her shoulder, Minhyeon could see Jaemin's face and it broke her heart so much to see him looking around lost. Before getting out the door a loud scream of cries was heard coming from Jaemin; hearing this Minhyeon tried to run straight to her baby however was forced out the door as it was closed behind her with the babies cries and screams still being heard bringing more tears to her as Jisung made her walk away.

In the car silence was all that was heard,
"Do you feel nothing?"
"Of course I do Minhyeon but I know for a fact it will be better for him, anyway we're off to talk to your parents and god knows how that would've gone down with Jaemin there. Why didn't you tell them?"
"Jisung...there's things that are best left unsaid for the time being, once I'm ready I will tell you the only secret I have from you but for now I'm not ready." After this the silence resumed until they arrived at the café to meet her parents.

Seeing the table they were sat at, Minhyeon and Jisung headed in the direction of the table her parents were sat at.
"Minhyeon-ah, wheres the baby?"
"Jisung said we shouldn't bring him..."
"It's your first time away from him isn't it?"
"Yes Eomma and I just want to be back with him."
"My poor daughter come on sit down let's talk then you can get straight back to him." The young couple sat down opposite them with the hands linked.
"So, Jisung what is your intentions with my daughter?" Minhyeon's father asked causing a slight hit to his arm from his wife.
"Donghae don't ask such silly questions."
"Well Heejin I want to know."
"Eomma Appa please, I'm so sorry Sungie,"
"Minnie it's fine don't worry about it."

After an hour of talking and getting to know each other Minhyeon and her mother went to the toilets together leaving Jisung and her father alone.
"Now that we're alone Jisung I can ask you the real question I wanted to ask." Hearing rude words Jisung began to get nervous as he could guess what that would be,
"Jisung, when are you going to marry my daughter? The pair of you already have a son so the next step should be marriage."
"I expected you were going to ask me this so I came with a good answer; I've been wanting to do it for over a year now but I felt it was either too soon or she would feel it was only because of Jaemin I was doing it so I waited."
"I take that as very soon then?"
"Yes sir very soon I promise you that."
"Well you have my blessing for whenever you decide." On queue Minhyeon and Heejim came back as the two males stood up and they all bid each other goodbye.

It's now night and Minhyeon has just finished putting Jaemin to bed after a long evening of not letting him go after being away for only an hour and a half.
"I hope my Appa didn't say anything bad while I was gone."
"Oh no he didn't I promise,"
"I'm glad it went well,"
"So am I."
With that the couple drifted off to sleep after the days long events.
