The Midnight Beer

It was midnight,  the digital clock showed 12.55 am, there was no sound inside that apartment room, the city light came through the curtain, but it wasn’t enough to get rid of the darkness. Tae blinked his eyes, it was the third night since he got back to Bangkok, but the jetlag effect still remained and he always awoken at this hour and he needed extra effort to get back to sleep.

He adjusted his eyes to the darkness and turned his head to his left side, his Tee was fast asleep, his face was half-hidden by the blanket, his left hand was on Tae's waist. Tae extended his finger to caress that beautiful face,  he removed Tee’s bangs from his forehead and leaned closer to land a kiss on Tee’s temple.

“Phi Tae. . . ,” Tee groaned as he opened one of his eyes.

“Sorry, I wake you up baby,” Tae whispered.

Tee leaned closer to the crook of his neck, “Jetlag effect again?” Tee asked.

“I guess,” Tae brushed Tee’s hair and inhaled the pleasant scent of his shampoo, “go back to sleep,” he said.
“You too.”

“I need a can of beer,” Tae mumbled.

He slowly freed himself from Tee and climbed down the bed. He opened the door and stepped towards the dining room, switched on the lamp and took a can of beer from the cupboard. He sat down at the chair and sipped the drink, letting the warmth filled his body.

“Can I join?” Tee’s figure appeared from the bedroom, he closed the door behind him and walked towards Tae. His oversized pajamas covered his well-built body and Tae could see the white chest underneath it since Tee loosened the buttons on purpose.

“Come here, baby” Tae welcomed him and pulled Tee onto his lap.

“I’m heavy, love,” Tee chuckled.

“It’s been a while since the last time we did it,” Tae kissed the back of Tee’s neck and let him drink his beer happily.

“You’ll be all sleepy tomorrow morning and having a bad mood all day,” Tae said.

“Yeah, and I’ll blame you for that,” Tee mumbled.

“You’re cute when you’re in a bad mood,” Tae leaned closer and caught Tee’s lips, he couldn’t count how many times he had kissed those tempting lips and amazed that he never got bored.

“But you’re not,” Tee mumbled, “I’m going to work until late tomorrow and perhaps have no time to cuddle you.”

“I’m getting used to it,” Tae said.

“Are you going on another trip abroad this month?”

Tae drank another sip of the beer and shrugged, “I don’t know, Phi Janean  always decides at the last minute, and by the way, you are indeed heavy.”

He gained a soft smack from Tee who stood immediately and dragged Tae’s wrist to come back to their bedroom.

“I still can’t sleep,” Tae protested.

“I’ll make you sleep,” Tee answered and winked at him.

He held Tee’s tightly as they came back to the warmth of their bed, Tae knew that Tee did it on purpose, he couldn’t say it verbally that he missed Tae or he wanted Tae to cuddle him. Going abroad for one weeks was long enough for them to be apart and Tee must have missed their time together. He brushed Tee’s hair in the way he liked the most and it didn’t need a long time for Tee to sleep soundly, meanwhile Tae’s eyes were completely wide opened. He lowered his head and gave Tee a kiss on his cheek.

“Sleep tight, my love,” he whispered.

ARIE78: Suddenly reminded about Tae trip in Korea with Bas. My poor Tee can't join with his hubby and baby that time. . . . Just miss writing my stories, don't have time to write for now due to heavy workload. Hope u guys will be patient  with me.
