Eyes that he could stare at all day. Hair that flowed on it's own, different than others. A mouth that talked it's own mind.

Hanako didn't know he could love someone so much, yet couldn't tell them. You were out of his league, and he couldn't match with all those other boys.

Once again, a boy was hitting on you. He tried to smoothly ask for your number, but you saw through him and declined nicely, in your sweet tone. He turned and walked away in defeat, with a hint of blush still on his face.

You looked to Hanako, and his ears turned red. He looked away, and all you did was giggle softly.

"He just wasn't my type. I'm still running for being Minamoto-senpai's girlfriend!"

Hanako did a fake smile to you, but his heart twisted to the sound of Teru's last name. Though with this feeling, he answered:

"Y-Yeah. Right. Teru's definitely going to notice you sometime!"

Oh boy, little did he know..

"Hanako-kun, I like you."

He blinked at you, who had suddenly dropped the mop on the floor and looked at him. Her eyes were glistening and mouth in a little pout. Blush covered your cheeks.

This was it. This was the time he should answer with, "I like you too, (Y/N)." But, why couldn't he get himself to say it?

He took a deep breath in and answered, "I'm sorry, (Y/N)-chan. You deserve better. You deserve Teru-san. He already has eyes on you too. It's obvious that he likes you."

At this moment, your heart shattered into tiny pieces. All you could manage was a, "..O-Ok." and you sped out of the bathroom, leaving Hanako to instantly regret his answer.

You looked at me like I was someone else, oh well

From that day on, you seemed.. distant with Hanako. Of course, you two stayed friends. Though.. it wasn't the same. You had Teru Minamoto, the king of Kamome Academy, as your boyfriend. Were you supposed to be happy about it? It was your dream after all.

However, you still felt heartbroken by Hanako's rejection. You did truly love him. You just made your dream an excuse to hide the fact you loved a ghost instead. Now, everything's switched.

Hanako, on the other hand, is very regretful of his decision. He didn't want to break your heart. Either way, you were no match for him. He was dead after all.

He thought that you would always be ahead, running so far away from him. Hand in hand with Teru.
