Nightime Chats

Marinette ran as fast as she could back to her house. When she got there she went straight to her room, not stopping to talk to her parents. She went over to her bed and flopped on it, shoving her face into her pillow. Marinette's kwami, Tikki, flew out off her bag and went up to Marinette's face. "Are you ok Marinette?" She asked worriedly. "I'm fine Tikki." Came the muffled reply from under the pillow. Tikki knew that her friend was hurting and she was upset that she couldn't do anything to help. She heard something coming up the stairs to Marinette's room so she flew and hid in the bag. Alya walked in the room a few seconds later and went to her friend. "Hey girl I'm here if you want to talk about it." Alya said to her friend, hoping she could do something to help. Marinette rolled over to face Alya and shook her head, Alya then pulled her into a hug.

A few hours later Alya had to leave to go help her parents. After she was gone Tikki flew over to Marinette and gave her a hug. "You look exhausted, try and get some sleep." Tikki said with a worried frown. Marinette nodded and lay back down, allowing herself to fall asleep. Marinette was woken by Tikki shaking her. "What is it?" Marinette asked groggily. There is an akuma, we need to go now. Marinette leapt up quickly and looked at her computer, locating the akuma attack. "Tikki, spots on!" She chanted, allowing her to transform into her alter ego.

After the fight with the akuma Cat Noir asked Ladybug to stay and talk to him for a little bit. The two heroes walked along the rooftops of Paris, eventually coming to a roof with a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower. When they were both comfortable Cat Noir looked at Ladybug and sighed. "Are you ok M'Lady?" He asked with a worried expression. Ladybug looked at him and fought the tears that were threatening to spill again. "Not really." She replied sadly. Cat Noir didn't say anything, just waited for her to continue. "I decided to confess to the guy I had a crush on." She said, not looking at him. "And?" Cat Noir asked. "He rejected me, said he was in love with someone else." She said, a few tears slipping down her cheeks. Cat Noir sighed again. "My friend confessed to me today, and I told her I didn't share her feelings. Im afraid I might have ruined our friendship." He said sadly, remembering how she had run away with tears streaming down her face. He hugged Ladybug and she broke down in his arms, her sobs echoing in the night sky. After a while they separated, looking at each other. They continued to talk throughout the night, until the first rays of dawn were showing. They said their goodbyes and headed back to their homes where they each replayed the days events in their heads.
