"Ne ne, don't you think the stars look really pretty?" (y/n) asked softly, her soothing and relaxed voice matching the atmosphere of her surroundings. It was so serene, her body pressed against the cool, delicate grass whilst her (e/c) eyes were adoringly looking at the sparkly sky, decorated with the stars and a few clouds.
A sight like this was absolutely rare for her, as well as a moment like this. Working for the port mafia really took out most of her time, resulting in her becoming too exhausted to even stay awake at night. But not tonight. Tonight (y/n) had a strong desire to admire the stars, the small symbols which allowed her to maintain hope even at the worst times.
Moments like this were nothing but magical. Everything was so perfect she could burst out crying, wondering how a rotten world like theirs, could have such a heavenly scenery. To add more momentum to this feeling, she decided to star-gaze with Chuuya, who unlike (y/n), was more confused and curious rather than impressed and interested.
His hat rested on the executive's chest while his arms remained under his head as his striking blue eyes were reflecting on the view above himself and (y/n) feeling a lot smaller than usual by having such a gorgeous view. Not only did he feel small, Chuuya couldn't help but feel weak as well. The sudden realisation that mankind could never even reach the feet nor the shadows to such beauty and power nature upheld effortlessly. Glancing at (y/n), he turned slightly towards her and opened his mouth.
"They're absolutely beautiful... but why did you insist in me coming with you to look at the stars?" He asked gently, wondering why such a shy, quiet person like her would want him to tag along. They spoke, but quite rarely if it was about missions or just him ranting about Dazai whenever he got drunk.
(y/n) thanked the stars above that tonight was rather dark, as she felt blood rush to her cheeks, which were now warm. She didn't say anything for a moment, before she sat up and began fidget with her white gloved hands, avoiding eye contact with a very confused Chuuya.
"W-well um..." she hesitated, before slowly admitting, "you looked so stressed lately, a-and it kinda scared me... I thought perhaps looking at the stars could help you calm down and reflect! T-that way you wouldn't take your anger out on others!" She blurted out and immediately slapped a hand over her mouth, wishing she hasn't told him the last part.
You're so screwed (y/n).
But what came next surprised her, as she slowly removed her hand and turned to the orange haired male with astonishment, watching how he was laughing at her words. That laughter was so genuine and so... real. (y/n) never saw him that way. In fact, she wasn't sure if anyone ever did.
"Wow (y/n) you could've told me if I scared you," Chuuya teased her after he stopped laughing, watching how the hopelessly timid girl was stuttering some gibberish nonsense, trying to excuse herself.
"I-I wasn't scared! I was just worried!" (y/n) pouted in her defence, not realising how a hint of red was visible on the male's cheeks. After a few comfortable moments of silence, (y/n) layed back down onto the grass, her eyes once again being glued onto the stars, as Chuuya decided to do mimic her movements as well.
"Hey (y/n)?"
"Y-yeah?"
"Thank you."
"Eh? For what?"
"For worrying about me. Let's look at the stars more often, it's really relaxing."
"S-sure!"
