"Baby! Have you got Ava's travel bag in the car yet?" Alex shouts from the stairs as I take our luggage to the car
"Yeah! It's in there with all our stuff too" I reply back picking up the last bag just as she comes down the stairs carrying our daughter in her arms
"there's my little angel" I coo at the babbling 5-month-old
"do you want to go to your mama," Alex says to Ava as she holds her hands out towards me.
I put the bags on the floor and take Ava off Alex, holding my daughter in my arms as Alex picks up the bags instead.
"Are we still meeting Krashlyn beforehand or is Ash not ready yet?" I ask my wife as we lock up the house
"Ali text to say she told her we were picking them up at 2 so they would be ready for 3" Alex informs me
"smart thinking Ali" I reply laughing
I strap Ava into her car seat and climb in next to Alex before we drive off to the Krashlyn household to pick up the players for the flight to Sydney
"how do you think the little one is going to be on the flight," I ask Alex glancing back to the baby
"I mean she's been very good for us up till now with sleeping and stuff, so hopefully nothing will go wrong but if worse comes to worst I'm sure one of her aunts will keep her company so we can have a nap" Alex say letting out a deep sigh
"I promise when we hand her off to the Aunts we can curl up in bed and sleep for as long as you want," I say taking one of her hands in mine
"wow what has my life come to, I'm 36 and wanting to have sleep over sex" Alex answers letting out a light chuckle
"Hey, I'm only 31! What does that make me" I say causing us both to laugh some more.
"Let's get the crazy aunts in the car shall we," Alex says turning around to look at a smiling Ava
