Hi guys. You saw the title. Yes, this will be the last chapter. I'm sorry. I'm just getting into other things. And I'm running out of ideas lol. But this should be a long chapter, so I hope you enjoy it. I will write more books in the future tho. But probably not on TATRK (True and the Rainbow Kingdom). Now, let's get on with it, shall we. (Wtf was that)
RK turned around and Zee saw how genuinely mad he was. This was a very rare occurrence, having only happened to him once. But that time wasn't his fault. This time, he had a feeling it was.
"Zee!!! Where in the world were you?!?" RK screamed at him.
"You guys said I had some time off to get my stuff in my new house." He replied meekly. "I thought you guys said it was ok."
RK stared at him for a moment.
"Zee, what are you talking about?"
"Well, I went in the office about 2 weeks before yesterday and worked everything out to get yesterday and the day before off. I knew I was pushing it, but I bearly ever get days off. It used to be fun working here. Now it just feels like a prison."
RK floated down slowly. Everything behind them kids just stopped, bit Leon was still in the corner.
"Zee, you're supposed to get the weekends off. What do you mean you bearly ever get days off?" Zee was shook.
"Well, you could ask anyone of my friends. They used to invite me to do stuff a lot, before LEM and all the technology and you always super busy. And I could usually go with them, with some exceptions of course. But after the merge happened, suddenly, I wasn't allowed to leave here when I was working. The helper robots were invented, so True didn't come around as often. Not that I blame her, it's not her fault. And I was never told I could leave on the weekends. Actually, when you aren't around, I get extra work then. I don't like it, but I liked working here so I did it. They told me not to tell anyone. They told me not to tell you. They made me promise it. So I didn't. I just did what I was told. I watched from up here as everything started to have better technology. Shoot, I can bearly even use the oldest phone they have! And that was based on on our facebubbles. So, yeah. That's my story. That's been my life for about 5 years." Zee walked past a dumbstruck Rainbow King, who wasn't even really a king anymore, and got to work fixing everything. He helped Goway and Reewee unerase everything, he stopped the mini war, which turned out to be over the jar of peanut butter, he calmed Leon down, and cleaned up all the messes all of that caused. Then he went to the spare room and locked the door. He and True were the only ones with keys for that room, and only her because he was afraid someone might get trapped in there or something. He looked around. Everything was covered in a thick layer of dust. No one had been in there for a good 10 years, with the exception of the time he found the room while True was hanging out. Despite coughing and sneezing every two seconds, it was nice to be in there. There was a small window, so he opened it to let in some fresh air. Zee always carried a small feather duster (don't ask.) So he got to work getting rid of all the dust. And he was happy. He was away from the evil people that made up LEM. He was away from the drama of the world. He was away from burdens and responsibility. But he knew it couldn't last forever. He sat down in front of the door, closing his eyes. He sat there for a while, just thinking about nothing in particular. He thought of the many times he's failed to stand up for himself. That time he had to do science tricks in front of a bunch of people while True got more ni ni fruit. He kept thinking, but after a while, he heard a quiet knock on the door. He ignored it, thinking it was Leon or RK. Then he heard a soft click as the door unlocked, and he got up so True could come in, because it had to be her. She was the only other one with a key.
"Zee? Are you ok?" True asked as she came in the room.
"I'm fine." He replied, knowing he was lying.
True closed the door. "No, you're not. What happened?"
"Nothing."
"Zee, something happened. What's wrong?"
"I'm fine! Just leave me alone."
"Not until you tell me what happened."
"I'm not going to tell you."
"I'll wait."
"You'll be waiting a long time."
"I'm patient."
"Too bad."
"Well, why don't you want to tell me?"
"Because."
"Because why?"
"Because it's nunya."
"What's nunya?"
"Nunya business."
"That's smart."
"Leon taught me it."
"That was nice of him."
"No it wasn't."
"Why not?"
"Because he didn't want me knowing about something that was very much my business."
"And what was that?"
"I don't remember."
"Don't remember or don't want to tell me?
"Yes."
"That's not a valid answer."
"Yes it is."
"No it's not Zee."
"Are we just going to keep doing this forever?"
"If you want to."
"Well I don't."
"Then tell me what happened."
"No."
They continued to do that for hours. Zee had been getting pretty agitated by it, but also unsettled by how calm True was being. Finally, he snapped.
"Are we just going to keep doing this forever?" Zee asked again.
"If you want to." True replied again.
"Well I don't."
"Then tell me what happened."
"Fine! You know, you'd make a great interrogater."
"I've been taking classes. So, what happened?"
Zee sighs and tells her everything. After he's done he says "There. Are you happy now?" True shakes her head.
"Not quite. Why do you think these things happen?"
"I don't know. How am I supposed to?"
"Well, do you know when these things started happening?"
"About when the merge happened. They didn't like how Rainbow King ran the kingdom. I don't see why. There was almost no crime in the city, the worst of which was stealing 20 dollars from the grocery store to buy some ice cream. That guy was pretty dumb wasn't he? Anyways, once the merge happened, suddenly the crime rate skyrocketed. Like, people were taking in hostages and kidnapping and just strait up killing people just for the heck of it. But why not let me have the weekends off is my question."
"I think that they thought they were protecting you. You know more about the wishes then anyone in the entire kingdom, maybe even the world! And-" Zee cut her off.
"Wait. What if all of this is about the wishes? What if that's why the merge happened in the first place? Not many people know this, but the wishes can give off a ton of energy. All of them together could probably take out an entire country.... *Gasp* That's what they're planning on doing!!! They would sometimes take a wish away for a while, and when that wish came back, it couldn't use it's power anymore, and could hardly fly. A lot of them go crazy actually. Eventually I got them to stop taking them, showing them what they were doing. I think they are trying to harness all the power in the wishes to make something really really bad. Like a bomb bad. This is not good."
"It all makes sense now! When the help robots were made and I couldn't do much, I started taking classes on how to spy on people." Zee gave her a weird look.
"Oh, I don't spy on you. Anyways, I saw them take the wishes, so I followed them to wherever they were going. They went to the secret lab under the castle, and the did horrible things to the poor things. I don't even want to think about what they did, and I'm sure you wouldn't want to know. Still, it was always on yellow wishes. Wait. You know how blue wishes have almost unlimited power right?"
"Yeah."
"Except for the one with the ice queen, they're all in wishing heart hollow, right?"
"They are."
"Zee, they're going to wishing heart hollow. Today! We can't let them!! They'll destroy the world!!!"
They ran out of the room and were almost outside when the got hit over the read with a baseball bat. (Don't worry, they're not dead.) But before she blacked out True heard,
"They know too much. Lock them up."True woke up with a massive headache and for a second forgot where she was. She tried lifting her arms to stretch them but soon realized they were tied down. She panicked a little, but she was tied down with rope, so she thought she might be able to untie her hands. She thought she had her eyes closed but soon realized that it was a dark room. She figured out she could move a bit so she tried to find Zee. She was unsuccessful, so she gave up. Then a big bright light turned on and she found herself in one of those interrogation rooms you'd see in a movie. Across the table that was in front of her, she saw a dark figure.
"Who are you? Where am I? What's going on?" She asked the shadow.
"Questions, questions, questions. I don't see how anyone could stand you. All will be revealed in time my friend. Just you wait."
So she did. The figure seemed amused.
"You're obedient, aren't you? You must have been the teachers pet in school. Oh wait. You never went, did you? Well, it's not your fault. Now tell me, what were you doing snooping around like you were? You've caused us a lot of trouble."
"I was doing it for the good of the kingdom. I know what you're planning to do with the wishes. I will stop you."
"Ok, but tell me," he got close to her ear and wispered, "How do you stop me if you're dead?" True winced as she felt a pain in her arm going very slowly up it.
"Ha, you think you're clever, don't you? Well you're not. I've poisoned you, and I'll only give you the antidote if you drop this. Or... You can die a slow, painful death. The poison is ingected into the tips of your fingers, and slowly makes is way through the rest of your body. It could just go for you heart, but where's the fun in that? It takes about 3 months to kill you, longer depending on where you ingect it. And you can always feel it. So, drop this stuff, or I'll leave you in here to die." True, of course, didn't want to die. She started thinking of ways she could escape. The the figure said,
"Don't even think about trying to escape. You'll never escape. I can read your mind you know. But if you do somehow escape, I'll kill your friend. Bring him in!" Some assistants brought in Zee who was tied up like she was. He looked scared, who wouldn't be? Well, except ladicius people. Anyways, True felt determined to stop them, but she didn't want to lose her friend. No, her best friend. No. Her boyfriend. No. He's none of those. He's her soulmate. Zee is her soulmate. So, she came up with a plan while he was distracted.
"Can I ask some questions?"
"Well, I guess we have time."
"Why are you harvesting the wishes powers?"
"So that they are not a threat to everyone. They are not safe. Once all of them have been made safe, well erase all knowledge of them, and kill them all."
"Why aren't they safe?"
"Because they could use they're power for evil and destroy the world."
"Have they done that before?"
"No..."
"Also, why didn't you tell Zee he was supposed to have weekends off?"
"So he could keep them at bay."
"Have they done anything to show that they were evil?"
"No, not really..."
"Why don't you like the wishes?"
"They're scary."
"How?"
"They, they..."
"Exactly. There's no reason for doing this, is there?"
"*Sigh* No."
"So, will you stop?"
"Yeah." He got a walkie talkie and told the people on the other side the plan was off. He gave True the antidote so she wouldn't die. (Zee wasn't poisoned) Then he put himself in jail. It turned out to be Leon. He was afraid of the wishes. They felt betrayed because he had pretended to be they're friend, but also kinda admired his commitment. Everything went back to the way it was before the merge, there were just more people now. The crime rate went back down, people were stupid again, and yeah. There of course, were a few changes. Like True living with Zee in his house. And the technology. But before all that, True and Zee wanted to go on the Farris Wheel again. They go on for free (the reason for which is in chapter 7) and look out of the window.
"It's nice in here, isn't it?" True asked.
"It is." Zee agreed.
"Hey, I'm gonna do something crazy."
Before Zee could respond, True had him in a deadlock while kissing him. And that's what they did the entire ride. Then they went back home and lived out the rest of their lives happily. And that's the end. There will be no more. Do ask for more. Don't you do it. I'm done with it. No more. Bye.
