Jungkook felt weird walking alongside Yoongi.
They were so contrary to each other that it was ridiculous. He was tall, Yoongi was short, he wore pastel, Yoongi wore black. It was so contradicting that is was ridiculous. But then again sometimes you just get paired with your bully, end up bonding, and then become friends. You just had to make the best of it. It was like that saying 'when life gives you lemons , make lemonade'. Although Tae always said 'when life gives you melons, you're dyslexic' to make him laugh when he was feeling like the world hated him the most.
Yoongi had invited him to some party of his friends. He didn't bother asking because he probably didn't know who his friends were. He was going to decline, but there was nothing to do in the apartment so he agreed to come.
They had arrived at an apartment. For some reason it was at Namjoon and Jin hyung's house. He shrugged it off as thinking that they had allowed Yoongi's friends to make the party there.
Instead, he saw Yoongi walk directly to his hyungs. Jungkook didn't know anybody there so he followed him. He heard Namjoon and Jin hyung call Yoongi over when they saw him. Yoongi greeted them and soon Jungkook walked to them.
Both Namjoon and Jin looked surprised to see him there. They had decide to not invite Jungkook because they didn't want to bother him in his studies. They knew how hardworking he was and that he wouldn't decline but then he would fall behind and they would feel guilty.
"Jungkookie!" Jin yelled happily.
"Hyung!" He giggled when Jin hugged him tightly.
"Jin leave him alone. You're not letting him breathe." Namjoon said chuckling.
Jin huffed but let go of him and settled with just holding his hand. It might be weird, but they were so close to each other that they always held hands when they were together. The same went with all of his other hyungs. Jungkook always hooked their arms or held hand with them. It made him feel safer.
"Good to see you again, Kookie." Namjoon said smiling, as he ruffled Jungkook's hair.
"Hyung!" He whined as he tried to fix his hair. He smiled at Namjoon and said that he was sorry that he couldn't visit as often. Both of them waved him off saying that it was okay because he had to study and work hard in college.
Yoongi was standing to the side, glaring with envy at his friends for being able to interact so intimately with Jungkook. He didn't know what the feeling was but he didn't like it, not one bit.
The three friends were interrupted from their conversation by Yoongi clearing his throat.
"So how do you know each other?" He asked trying to hide how much he didn't like how they interacted with Jungkook. His friends' eyes lit up.
"Well I met Kookie when I was trying to produce music. Remember that time when I was struggling with it and then I said that I met someone that was great help? Yeah, it was Jungkookie that helped me. He really is talented." Namjoon said.
"The time that I met Kook was when I had trouble trying to sing a part in a song. I was in the vocal lessons room and I couldn't get the right rhythm. I didn't even check what time it was so I didn't know that that I was supposed to leave so that the room was free for the next lesson with someone else. So when Jungkook came in, he was surprised and confused why I was there and I apologized and explained why I was still there. He understood and then showed me some techniques that could help me. After that we became good friends and I didn't know that he was friends with Namjoon so I invited him to our apartment to meet him. Turned out that they knew each other and ever since then we became close friends." Jin explained.
"Both of you needed the help and I didn't like seeing both of you struggling so I helped with what I could." Jungkook explained embarrassed.
"Still. Thanks, Kookie." Namjoon smiled at him.
"Anyway, this is supposed to be a party. Let's go have some fun!" Jin yelled making Jungkook and Namjoon laugh and Yoongi roll his eyes.
After some dancing they grew tired and went to go get some drinks. Jungkook was a lightweight when it came to drinking.
Yoongi had offered him some alcohol. It wasn't that strong and didn't have the taste of alcohol, although it did leave a slight after burning feeling in his throat. It had a strawberry flavor and tasted really good. Soon Jungkook had gotten drunk and Yoongi said that it was best to leave so they could go to bed. They said goodbye to each other and left.
----------
Jungkook woke up with a headache. He felt like throwing up. He got up from the bed even if his body didn't want to and went to go apologize to Yoongi for making him bring him to their apartment and helping him go to sleep."Yoongi?" Jungkook called through the kitchen.
He didn't receive an answer but found a note on the table. It read 'Take care of yourself'.
That was all it said but he had a feeling that it was meant to say that he would have to take care of himself because Yoongi wouldn't be there to do it.
For some reason these past few days he felt happy and calm around Yoongi, he felt more free and laughed more with him. He found himself smiling more and his roommate started treating him better. Yoongi had even bought him a pastel sweater that he used often to show Yoongi that he really liked it. Yoongi seemed extremely pleased to see how much he liked it when he wore it.
He snapped out of his thoughts and made breakfast to eat. Then he went to his room to go to sleep so he could wake up without a headache.
---------------
He woke up to the door opening. He figured that Yoongi had came back so he got up to go apologize about last night."Yoongi you're home! I need to talk to you about last night. I'm sorry-"
However, when he talked to Yoongi, the other wouldn't meet his gaze. Yoongi looked away and told him that it was okay.
"It's fine don't worry about it" He cut him off.
And with that he went to his room.Jungkook was confused on why he was acting like that, but didn't want to pressure him into talking about it. So he didn't say anything and shrugged it off as he headed to his room.
