I stood up with my hands on the table, flabbergasted (heh I love that word).

She looks pleased. Well that makes one of us.

"Oh, you guys don't get along? I can always ask som-"

She gives me a soft spank and I head upstairs.

My parents get into the cab and in unison yell:

And they're off and so am I. Not even 30 seconds later my phone goes off.

That's my overprotective mom for you.

She texts me back one more time, reminding me about Yakkai and tells me she loves me. I reply and put on my headphones. I'm currently into lofi.

It do be very soothing and peaceful.

I look down at my phone to check the time. I somehow end up on insta and scroll through it while walking. I suddenly feel my self being pulled back and watch as a car misses me by a few inches.

"Oi! Are you trying to get yourself killed, Urusai??!! Put your fucking phone down and look up!"

"M-my bad. I hope you know that you've just saved my life. I thank thee very much."

"Don't fucking mention it. EVER."

We continue walking down the sidewalk. The sky is a beautiful light blue, accompanied by a few scattered clouds. The trees boast pink flowers with some of their petals falling onto us as if trying to join us as we walk.
Those living in the apartments we're walking by are extremely lucky to have this sight.

"Yakkai, isn't it beautiful out here?"

"Yeah, I guess so."
