This is Zenigata x 'Video game designer' reader, basically, this one-shot is what if the events on the game you made with gaming company becomes a real crime in reality? Find out how the reader solves the problem for the company!

Enjoy!

Crime games, FPS, third-person shooting, these are the genres of gaming that is popular nowadays. The amount of effort that every game developers worked on, some do it for franchises, others do it for popularity, the number of copies around the world.

It makes every kid to grown-up would love the action, dramas, plot-twists, car chasing, gun fighting, the rated always warns there will be chaos, languages, and others. As a video game designer like you love those ideas, you're 25 years old working in a game company that is known since the day it launched during 1999.

You sit down on your own working desk, a pile of papers everywhere, sketchbooks on the corners, 3D print of props and characters on the other side, you sighed. "Another day of work, " you were ready to get a job you wanted. You love video games so much when you were a kid, your brothers introduced you to a video game called Thief.

A simple game that a thief can steal anything but the story is complex, you loved it so much that you wanna be to become a video game designer. You sketched a lot of ideas, your family supports your dream and here you are. However, you noticed every idea you make for a game becomes a reality.

When the company released two games you worked on, suddenly the crime rate rises. You didn't know how, but some crimes were related or real-life events just like the game. Rumors spread like a virus telling if the company is trying to help the criminals, what was in the game? The strategy idea made so good for the first time that people think it's effective and it did.

Now the gaming company is afraid to release another game that might be another strategy for the felons. For you, it intrigues you believing the criminals didn't think of those ideas. You back down knowing those ideas came from you, you felt ashame. You lay your head back on the chair, staring heavenward. "What should I do?" You asked, scratching your head.

- 6 hours later -

You were fixing your stuff on your desk, double-check everything is in place. You pushed yourself off the chair until a sketchpad fell on its own. You bend down to pick it up and you see your old picture in front of it, "Hey. It's my old sketchbook, " you decided to bring it with you. As you went out, the night sure looks bright because of the moon.

You only took three steps before going out until a stranger bumps you, making your bag fall off from your shoulder. "Sorry!" The stranger apologized and kept running, you didn't see him coming and you groaned. Pulling your bag up then you see another stranger chasing the other, "Wait! you thief!" He yelled while holding the handcuffs. You never see anyone holding those during the chase, then you recall.

You immediately went to your apartment which not far from your work, rushed to your apartment door closing it behind you, pulling the sketchbook in your bag. You suddenly remembered something when you were a kid that sparks the idea of fighting against the crimes, then you flipped on the middle page.

You drew a man with a light brown trench coat and hat while holding handcuffs, you see him in the news recently. His name is Inspector Zenigata, the person that made you motivated to become a video game designer. You designed and sketched some props, characters and the person he run after. You always dreamed of making your own video game about an inspector that fights against crime but he still needed to fulfill his destiny capturing one culprit in his life, a monkey.

You see Zenigata tracked the monkey on TV, he mentions him on TV and he wasn't able to capture him. "Who is this monkey?" You wonder. Your ideas flooded in your mind and turn on the computer and started working until morning. You barely sleep then you realized you are going to be late, " What is wrong with me?" You take a short bath, preheated your breakfast, put your own usual clothes: Red hoodie, black skinny jeans, and white running shoes.

You run to your workplace as fast as you could until you bumped into somebody, you fell down as your things fell on the pavement. You keep on apologizing, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" You picked up the manuscripts and sketches, the stranger calms you down. "It's okay!" He said. You were about to pick up your sketchbook but the man picks it up for you and sees your childhood sketch, you look at the stranger and your eyes went round.

It's Inspector Zenigata, he's delighted to see your sketch of him but your flustered the fact he's the inspiration for your dream game. "Did you drew this?" He asked, pointing. Your blush came through your face you can't help but nod vigorously, the inspector thought your head is about to fall off but manage to calm you down.

" I wonder why you draw me, I look good on the sketch than myself." He said it made you laugh a bit until you told him the real reason. "Well- I draw you because when I first saw you on the news, it inspired me to make my own game. I dreamed about it when I was a kid, now I'm a video game designer planning to make this into reality." You explained, Zenigata was surprised to hear that. " What else?" He asked, " Well, I thought this game could help the society to fight off criminals right now. Since a lot of backlashes against the company I'm working in, maybe this proposal could solve the problem. " your tone sounded determine, "That's why Inspector Zenigata, in the game you are the hero but everyone will know that protagonist of the game is you." You added, it almost made him in tears.

You panicked, "Uhh- You alright Inspector Zenigata?" He uses his finger to remove a tear on the corner of his eye, he looks at you with a determined expression. He puts both hands on your shoulders, " I'm honored to be in your game!" He said, your eyes sparkled with joy. " Thank you! " before you separate with Inspector Zenigata, you ask him about the monkey.

"Ah, that monkey. His name is-" he was going to say the name on the last part until he spotted someone from afar, which made him jumped with energy when he sees a man wearing a red coat, blue long-sleeves underneath with a yellow tie clipped onto his shirt. White-gray pants and black shoes underneath, you turn around to see the monkey that inspector Zenigata pursued.

You look at the culprit seems that he stole something valuable, you pointed at him asking Zenigata. "Is that the monkey-" Inspector Zenigata runoff cutting your question, "YOU WON'T GET AWAY THIS TIME LUPIN!" he yelled pulling out his handcuffs, "Bye-bye! Pops!" He waves at the inspector also to you. You don't know what's going on but you wave him back anyway. Realizing you're already late for work, you run inside the building. You pitched your idea for the new game, and everyone seemed to love your concept. You learned that the monkey's name is Lupin the Third, but you didn't want to use that name. The title 'monkey' is already fit enough to capture the depiction of Lupin himself.

Months passed, the crime rate has decreased thanks to the game you made and Zenigata was proud to be presented- except he still hasn't captured the 'monkey' yet in real life.

A/n's: What do you think of the story? Do you like it? I'm writing non-request stories in my AC | what-ifs and this book. I already listed so many and I hope those one-shots will turn out nicely :) I'm also doing a project on making a 72-page comic~ I write, draw and cosplay (rarely cosplay). If you have a request for this book please do so message, I'll be glad to make your imagination come true :3 unless you pick these two options: Specify what scenarios you want to happen with emotions for the reader or the characters or surprise plot. For now, am doing the nonrequests stories~

I'll be writing more soon. See you!
