Dawn was currently sipping on a orange soda, while barry was munching on some fries.
It's been a year since Johanna's death.
She imagined it like it was yesterday.
Her house was on fire, and bodies were found.
A human and two pokemon bodies.
They were burned badly beyond recognition, they were identified by dental records.
There was blood on glameow's claws but dawn never got the results.
So barry let dawn live with him.
And sure it was annoying hearing him snore and his mom and dad scream at the tv during sports, but she was thankful for barry's goodwill.
His parents were nice enough to accommodate her, and all they asked of her is to help out with chores and some other things.
But back to where we are now.
She was about to refill her drink, when a small starly came in with mail.
She took it and gave the bird a small chin scratch and the bird left.
" what's the letter about " barry said, his mouth full of fries.
" finish those fries and I'll tell you " dawn said, disgusted at barry for talking with his mouth open.
Barry finished the fries, and took a sip of coke cola.
The letter read-
{Dear dawn, what i am about to tell you will blow your mind, you are a aura guardian}
Dawn was shocked, and so was barry.
" well hurry up and continue " barry said, kinda excited for the rest.
" alright sheesh " dawn said, also sharing barry's excitement.
{You got it from me, your father hated it and even tried to kill you, but i stopped him and that's why he isn't in your life and why one of your baby clothes has a long stitch going down the back}
{So after i divorced him i took a break from contests to take care of you and i nevet regret that decision, you displayed your aura abilities when you healed your bruised knee when you were in daycare, i was so proud of you, i taught you everything i know about aura and aura guardians}
{I had to seal your memories and replace them cause i was afraid of you being hunted down by people who hated our kind, I'm sorry i had to do it but i had to to protect you}
Dawn wiped some tears away.
{Then you met ash when you started your pokemon journey i knew he was a aura guardian, and i knew of your crush on him}
{I have my ways if your gonna ask how did i know about your crush on ash, anyway by the time your reading this i am dead and so is my pokemon, i know who killed me but i can't reveal it because they might get to ash, please get to him before he is killed, also get sora he is a young boy who has potential to be a guardian, and dawn never give up on your dreams}

Barry was shocked, and so was dawn.
" your a aura guardian !? oh my arceus " barry said, shocked to learn his friend was a aura guardian.
Dawn was shocked too, but understood it.
" barry get your stuff we are going to kanto " dawn said with a smile.
" aw yeah a new region ! " barry said, pumping his fist in the air with enthusiasm.
Barry went to tell his parents about what happened.
They were shocked and told dawn that her secret is safe with them, and to take lots of pictures to send back home.
Dawn got her stuff and went to her mom's grave.
She was buried with her pokemon.
She told her mom that she is glad that she has a amazing mom and told her that she will fulfill her promise.
So after that they are walking towards the airport when a kid came running.
It was sora, a girl looking boy who also has aura.
" hi my name is sora, I'm a boy and i like sweets " sora said, sticking his hand out.
Sora had purple hair that was cut short, beautiful shade of lavender and red for eyecolor,blue shirt and blue shorts along with a long sleeved black jacket with a gold choker with a mega stone in the center choker charm which was shaped like a donut, purple high heeled boots with black soles and blue belts around the boots.
" I'm dawn and this is barry, my late mother mentioned to get you " dawn said, shaking sora's hand along with barry.
" why what's wrong " sora asked, noticing barry and dawn's aura giving out a color of worry and panic.
Dawn filled sora in on what's happening, and sora was shocked.
He heard of Johanna from contests magazines, he always wanted to meet her.
But she was dead and her killers were gonna kill ash.
" I'm in " sora said, nodding adorably.
So they power walked to the air port, where they saw a houndoom.
The houndoom had grey and brown patches on the fur,and the orange parts of a houndoom were blood red and the eyes were deep ocean blue and the horns kinda look more like a absol's horn like scythe.
Dawn knew this houndoom from hunter j, it was only a houndour back then but the houndour saw her helping ash and brock fight the hunter, and knew she was to be his trainer.
" you wanna join me don't you " dawn said, to the shock of barry.
The houndoom nodded.
<yes i knew you need to be my trainer from the moment i saw you risk your life to save me and the others, and we all thank you> the houndoom told her through aura link.
So dawn took out a dark ball and tapped it on the houndoom's head.
It shook once and dinged, signaling that the houndoom was caught.
She looked at barry and sora, who were a little shocked.
" I'll answer later " dawn said, putting the pokeball in her bag.
So they get to the airport and get on the first plane to kanto.
In the plane, dawn was reeling from the events today.
Her mother was a aura guardian,she was also a aura guardian.
But she needed to focus on the task at hand.
'I'm coming ash' she thought as the plane left the ground.
