Annabelle's POV
RECAP
-“Hey, my brother is here but before I leave, Elle can I ask you something?” Daniel asked looking nervous and slightly uncomfortable.-
"Yeah, sure."I said
"So my parents are having a barbecue this weekend and i was wondering if youmight wanna come?"
"Um...."
"Here's my phone number, just call me when you make up your mind and i will tell you the address."And with that he left me standing dazed.
-FRIDAY-
The week had run out so fast.I hardly bumped into Daniel but when i did he nodded at me with a smile or hello.On Wednesday i heard Alyssa talking about cheerleading tryouts for sophomores and i decided to give my life a try once more just like Sapphire, my phsychologist had said.
"You need to go back to what you did before even if you wanna try out new ones."
As i walked towards the notice boards for tryouts , i heard someone quietly sniffing in the restrooms.I quickly dashed in being the goody-two shoes i usualy was.
There in the corner of the stall at the end was the one and only Megan Evans bawling her heart out.I was beyond shocked and could hardly say a word.
I gently walked to her so she won't spring at me like a tiger if she was pissed off.I quietly whispered her name stuttering"M..Me..M.Megan?"
She whipped her blondish brown hair up faster than i could see and sneered at me"What?You wanna go tell everyone i cried?"By this time, she was gently rising from the floor.
I shaked my head quickly and silently muttered"Uh.. no, i just wanted to help."Cautiously moving towards her, i squatted before her.
Gently patting her; even though she had tried to kill me minutes ago, "Are you okay?"I asked.
"No!"she whisper-screamed with a voice hoarse because of her crying.
And so the story she poured out to me shocked me beyond surprise!It ooked like she was going through a lot.
