"Oh, I'm soo sorry, Althea. I didn't mean to knock your books down." Naomi said in a sarcastic voice. I just rolled my eyes and continued to pick up my books.

"Hey Darius, you look cute today." She said cooing at him. Ugh. She just makes me sick.

"Thank you." He said. I finally stood up and was standing next to him.

"Aren't you gonna tell me I look cute today, too?" I sighed and rolled my eyes, again. It's just too much conceided-ness, if that's even a word, for me. I can't deal. I start to walk away until Darius pulled me back by the hand.

"I don't belive in saying things that aren't true." He responded. I started to laugh. "By the way, Princess, did I tell you that you are lookin' really cute, wait no, you are lookin beautiful today!" I was trying not to laugh and play along.

"Why thank you! Will you like to escort me to class?" I asked still holding in my laugh.

"It would be my honor, Princess." He said bowing holding his hand out for me to grab. I grabbed it and we started to walk off, leaving Naomi still standing there. I saw her storm pass us stomping like she was trynna kill a roach in the hood. I just couldn't hold it in any longer. I started to laugh until my stomach started to hurt and my eyes was filled with tears.

"That was great! Did you see her face. Priceless." I said still lauging. A little.

"Yea. You were pretty good back there. You should join our new drama club." He suggested.

"I dont know. Acting is just a side thing. Writing is what i'm really focusing on." I responded.

        "Well you can do both..."

        "I dont know...but i'll think about it."

"Well I'll just keep you updated, posted."

"Okay." We sat down in our seats and this time, I sat next to him. I pulled out my poem book and turned to a blank page. I started write anything that came to my head.

It all started with just a sentence

A sentence that can change everything

        Soo much

        That soft touch

Made me wanna keep in touch

        I just have this hunch

That we can be real close

        Closer than most

Who knew that you were right under my nose

I saw him lean close to me. I closed my notebook.

"Yes, may I help you." I said smiling.

        "What you writing." He asked.

        "A poem."

        "Can I read?"

"Nope." I said smiling and hugging my book tight to my chest. He pretended to be sad.

        "Whyyy nooooot?"

"Because..." He looked at me and just smirked. He reached in and tried to grab my book. I kept pulling like we were playing tug of war. He started to tickle me so I got weak and he grabbed the book out of my hands. I tried to grab it back, but he had it above his head, and I couldnt reach it.

"Darn, my height!" He was laughing at me. He read the poem and was smiling and nodding.

"That was amazing. Who was it about?" It was my turn to get nervous. Of course it was about him!

"Its uhh-uhh about this guy....ya know, he-he- uhhh, yea. He's a guy." I said nervously.

"I think I know who it's about." He said.

        "Who?"

"It's about me." He said surely.

"No...," I said lying, "It's about him over there." I said pointing at a random guy.

"You haven't even talked to him today." He said laughing.

"Yea, I did..." I said trying to stick with my lie.

"Why don't you just admit it's about me." I was silent. Trying to figure out what to say.

        "It's not about you..."

"Just admit it. You wrote about me! Yea, this guy! You, Princess, wrote abou-,"

"OKAY OKAY! I wrote about you! Are you happy now?" I asked sarcastically.

"Very." He laughed and kissed me on the cheek. I'm not gonna let what happened last night, stop me from living my life.
