Ashwood's POV
They all hoped on a dragon and all the dragons run for the wall. Mike, Zedfield, and John scream "why are we headed for the wall?" Then Mike notices a little ripple in the wall and Looks harder saying "there is a portal right there. I can see a small ripple on the wall." Right before they go through the portal a very tiny egg is thrown and lands in Zedfield's lap. Zedfield looks down with wide eyes saying "what is this Ashwood?" Ashwood looks over. "I guess someone gave you a dragon egg! That is a special egg!!! If I'm right that has 2 baby dragons in it that's the only reason a dragon throws egg through the closest portal to them." He said excitedly to Zedfield. Zedfield looked at the egg in shock and whispered "what the heck am I going to do with a baby dragon? Why would they give me a baby dragon or correction twin baby dragons?" Mike chuckles "you were worried about me bringing a dragon home. John, you know how to raise them don't you?" "Yes I do but it has been a very long time since I had to help raise one. Isn't that right Ashwood!" "John I have known you for more than 100 years now and you're gonna be my son-in-law soon. You have helped me feed and raise all four of these dragons and you know that!" Ashwood said looking at the tiny shiny purple egg as  Zedfield puts the egg in his shirt pocket. "Dad, how old are you? I thought you were in your 30's?" Mike asked "Son that is a question for another time. We need to get to your grandma Fay's house." He said as they pass through the portal into the dragon realm. "Wow, it is beautiful here dad!" Mike says as three purple and black dragons approached them. "Hi my name is Nox and these two are Kefir and Moxie. We were sent here by her Majesty Queen Skylark to not only welcome you but to bring you to see her." Ashwood says "thank you for the welcome! Do you know what she wants by chance because we were just coming to see if she would help us with a problem? Then we were going to my Mother's house. My mother and daughter are both in danger from the shade." "No I don't know but would you please follow us?" Mike speaks up and says "Dad we don't have time for this! Hope and grandma Fay could get hurt or killed!" "Son one thing you should know is that time moves almost three days faster here than in our realm."  Ashwood says trying to calm his worried son. "So you're telling me for every hour in our realm three days go by here?" "That's exactly what He said mike!" John confirmed as he was mind linked Zedfield "Don't take the egg out of your pocket. We don't know why it was given to you yet." Zedfield just nods his head as they were escorted to the dragon queen. Moxie asked, "Sir if you don't mind me asking but how did two fairies, a vampire, and a werewolf come by these beautiful baby dragons you are riding on?"John says " they were in a dragon orphanage and We raised them from a hatchling. They're well cared for and are treated well! They all were in one egg." "Oh wow! That's extremely rare! Most I have ever seen in one egg is two babies." Moxie said. "Oh, by the way, I almost forgot to ask. Did you happen to see a pure white dragon throw a tiny egg through a portal by chance?" Nox asked. Mike mind links John and Zedfield "do you guys think it is weird that they ask about an egg just after one is thrown into our portal?" John and Zedfield both nod in agreement but not realizing that Nox can hear them. Nox replies through mind link "don't say anything about the egg in your pocket Zedfield I suspect one of these two jerks is the thief but I can't prove it right now. Please protect that egg it belongs to a very powerful dragon that passed away two days ago." John replied, "not a problem it will not only be protected but have a great home!" Zedfield said out loud "no sir we didn't see any eggs or the dragon you described. Besides, why would that dragon be throwing an egg through a portal? I thought dragons were very protective over there eggs and young." "She was throwing the egg through the portal because it was a stolen egg and we need to return it to the right mother." Kefir said. John asked, "what did the egg look like because in the human realm there are a lot of different color and size eggs and I want to be sure we have not mistaken it for a chicken egg." Nox, Moxie and Kefir stare at John like he is crazy and asks "what the heck is a chicken?" Mike decided to put his two cents in and say "it is a bird that you can eat. It is really yummy when you barbecue it and eat it with macaroni and cheese!" Zedfield, John, and Ashwood look at Mike and ask "what are you on? They don't know what you are talking about!" Mike's face turns red. Nox then asks "is the little one is ok right? He isn't sick, is he? If he is our doctors are the best in five realms! I will call them when we get to the palace!" As they approach a large group of dragons Mike yells " NO DOCTORS!! I'm NOT SICK!!!!" Zedfield puts a hand on Mike's forehead and says " Mike you feel a little warm." Then John puts his ice-cold hand to Mike's forehead and says "yep definitely a fever." Mike rolls his eyes in-frustration "dad would you please tell these two brats that I'm fine!" "I don't know son your face is pretty red," Ashwood said as he two put a hand to his son's forehead. "Nox you might wanna check for yourself if he is burning up." So Nox goes over and puts his long big paw on Mike's forehead and says "I can't tell so I would rather be safe than sorry my little mate." Zedfield's and John's jaws drop. John and Zedfield both look at each other and yell "what the heck do you mean mate?" Mike groans "you gotta be kidding me!!!! Don't I got enough problems without being mated to a gosh darn dragon too!!!!" Ashwood laughs "well son now not only did you find your own dragon but a very rare breed of dragons they can mate with humans! Nox you're not just a dragon are you?" Nox looks down than to his mates and says "no I'm actually the shifting prince Noxious. Please don't tell the queen on me. She thinks I'm just a dragon." Mike, Zedfield, and John ask "can we see the human you please?" Nox looks down with tears in his big beautiful topaz eyes and whispers "I'm not human. I'm a gremlin and dragon and werewolf shift. I have never fit in anywhere before! My dad was a werewolf and dragon shifter and more accepted than I am. Will you three accept me as your mate?" Mike starts crying and says "oh Nox my sweet dragon, of course, we accept you! I think you are sweet!" As they approached the palace Nox asked "can you please not tell her majesty Skylark? I don't want to be treated any differently." "Ashwood would you please tell her majesty Skylark that I found my wonderful, sweet, and beautiful mates!" "Nox I sure will and I will also tell her how awful they have been treating you." "Thanks, Ashwood!" Nox said. "Ashwood do you want to tell me why Nox went with your human boys?"Moxie asked while they were about to step into the palace. "Moxie that's none of our business what Nox and my boys do! Just take me to the queen now!" Ashwood said in a very dominant voice. As they were about to open the door, a three-foot-tall teal and the black dragon comes running out and says " hide me the cook is after me for stealing a cookie before dinner! Oh hi Ashy!!" "Sky please tell me you didn't piss off a miss. Dimples again! Now she won't make my favorite donuts for in the morning!"Ashwood groaned while trying to hide skylark behind himself. "Did you boys see which way that stubborn cookie thief went did you?" Miss Dimples asked as she glared at them. Just as Miss. Dimples leaves Skylark leans up and kisses Ashwood on the cheek and says "thanks Ashy for not ratting me out! Now, why are you here?" "Welllll Moxie, Kefir and Noxious told me you would like to see me. They even escorted me here. They said it had to do with an egg." Ashwood said. "Oh, that's right! Let's go somewhere where no one will hear us talking." "Ok, where do you wanna go sky? Can you please also get rid of these bozos? They were giving Noxious a hard time because he isn't a full dragon. Oh, I almost forgot Noxious found his mates! I'm going to be his dad in law along with Zedfield and John!" "That's wonderful Ashy!!!!" Skylark said as they walk to her office to talk. When they reach the office door they hear a bunch of yelling down the hall. "Do you wanna go see what that yelling is about Ashy?" Skylark asks. "We better go find out what it's about. I might need to get you out of here and to a safe place." Ashwood said.
