Project Adamas was established so that experimentation on a newly discovered organism could take place. (The organism known was the Adamas Flower.) These blue glowing flowers were found deep within the planets crust, near lava beds where it seemed, in its natural environment, thrived peacefully. However, after making contact with the flower, (referred to as patient 000), patient 000 began to undergo drastic and unsettling changes in the human body. Upon discovery, it seemed that the Adamas flower did not like its environment being tamper with. And began a worldwide spread of a dangerous epidemic, known as the Adamas Virus (AV Virus). Upon farther study, over extreme amount of time, researchers were able to find that the AV Virus was changing humans, similarly to patient 000. Most of these mutations that occurred do to the AV Virus were seen to appear when children were transitioning from their childlike states into their adolescences. Those who did survive, about a 50/50 split in gender, were seen to have normal lives. Autopsy preformed on those who did survive showed that the only mutations that occurred due to the AV were in the reproductive systems. Upon even farther study and another extended length of time, it was shown that the Adamas Flower was appearing to undergo a mutation of its own. This sort of mutation was laster seen as evolution, in order to survive its new environment, the Adamas Flower was attempting at merging itself with humans. The first successful merge that is known is the Fire and Ice incident. In a research hospital that had been working on developing a cure was well as overseeing patients who survived the AV Virus, a patient had given birth to twins. This twins however were born with quite the extraordinary bodies. Instead of veins like that of a human, the twins were seen to have veins similarly to the Adamas Flower. The veins appeared to glowed a blue when either anger or distress in the babies occurred. But what was the most puzzling part to researchers was that these twins were born with horns and what is referred to as now, Adamas. Adamas are extremely dangerous and powerful, power emitting unknowns that appear in offsprings of those who survive the mutations of the AV Virus. In this case, the twins were each given an Adamas. The first born was given Fire Adamas, the second born an Ice Adamas.
I cannot say for sure whether my studies and exploration into this unknown will bring answers. But for the meantime, I write these entries to keep tract of my own mind and schedule. Maybe even my future children will read this. Anyway, I have a patient to experiment on at o'600 hours. It's going to be a long day.
