I get close to Connie so I can whisper. "Are you sure about this, Connie?" I ask. "It's not hurting anyone- besides, it makes it a less possibility of someone figuring out the fact we're dating." She says.

I chuckle a little and get a little closer to her. I lean down and whisper in her ear. "I know you have a huge crush on me... Admit it~" I smile and wink. She smiles a little but she doesn't say anything.

"Maybe a kiss will get you to talk~" I put my thumb under her bottom lip and get closer. "St-stop... We're... We're gonna... K-kiss..." Connie whispers.

Our lips almost touch until I slowly back up and smirk. "You're desperate, aren't you~" I chuckle. Connie scoffs then pushes me away from her as I laugh. "Get away from me y-you creep!" Connie blushes.

"I thought you loved this creep..." I whisper. She holds back a laugh before walking away. She looks back at me and winks before she starts walking again. PeeDee runs to me and smiles. "Now wasn't that fun!" He says with a smirk. I blush a little. "I... I guess. But I'm not gonna do it again!" I yell.

"I thought you enjoyed teasing Connie." PeeDee says. "Yeah... Not when some creep is watching us..." I glare at him.

"Hehe... Sorry?" PeeDee laughs, slightly nervously. He looks at the watch on his wrist. "Uh... I'm kinda late going home so... See ya tomorrow." He says. I sigh and watch Connie pick up all of her stuff off the ground.

A small smile forms from my lips as I walk over to Connie. "I'm guessing you want to walk me home?" Connie says while slugging her bookbag over her shoulder. "Yeah..." I smile.

"Wait... Don't we have training with Pearl?" Connie asks. I rub the back of my neck as the thought and realization comes to me. "Yeah... I think we might be a little late." I sigh. Connie grabs my hand and starts running.

"You know how Pearl gets when we're late!" Connie yells as she runs. I chuckle at Connie's determination to get to my house even though we're late. We finally arrive and Pearl scolds us greatly for being late.

When we arrive at the battle arena, we wait for Pearl to summon her holo pearls. "Today, you are not going to be fighting the holo pearls... You'll be fighting each other... No holding back."

Connie and I stare at each other, mostly wide-eyed. "I-I promised not to hurt her... I'm not going to hurt her!" I shake my head. Pearl stands between us and gives a signal for us to start. Connie fixes her stance before charging towards me.

I jump over the swords that she swings at me and her eyes stay focused on mine. A small smile forms from her lips as she tries swinging at me again. I dodge the sword once again but when my feet touch the ground, Connie swipes a kick at my legs. She's so fast.

She holds the sword to my throat and winks with a smile. I blush slightly. "Is that all you got?" Connie teases as she kneels down to me.

"I wouldn't want to hurt you, would I..." I smirk. "You don't have to." Connie says. "Get up Steven! Do that round again!" Pearl yells from across the arena. Connie helps me up and we start sparing again.

How is Connie so fast?! "Use your shock, Steven!" Pearl says. I create shock from my hands and attempt to direct it towards Connie. She blocks the shock with her sword and gets close to me. I hold on to the blade of the sword.

"Isn't that kinda cheating?" Connie teases. "Yeah but you're a fast one." I chuckle as we push apart. Connie tries to swing the sword at me again but I grab the blade. She swings herself behind me and lets go of the sword to wrap her arms around me.

I let go of the sword as I feel a small blush happen on my face. Connie quickly grabs the sword before it hits the ground and holds the sword to my neck.
