Punch after punch and there was nothing that would make him want to stop. A couple of guys fought to get Adrian away from Adam as he kept throwing punch after punch. He gave up at last and rose, slightly reluctant as he more than wanted to beat the guy to death.

"Stay away from Emma, got it?" Adrian snarled, not showing that he was in any kind of pain over the fight that just took place.

Adam was lying on the ground and struggled to get up. He was breathing heavily and you could see the pain he felt. Adrian was very pleased at the moment. Adam's hideous smirk was gone and he could breath out for the nonce. The guys released Adrian and someone screamed at him to leave the party.

"More than happy to." Adrian mumbled irritated. His gaze searched the room until it landet on Emma who stood in the doorway. She looked devastated. Adrian glanced at Adam who was sitting down on the wooden floor. When their eyes met there was no sign of friendliness.

"Stay away from her." He repeated to Adam clearly. Adrian walked up to his friend from the boxing team and asked him for the keys to his car. Or, he didn't really ask. "I'm borrowing your car."

Nick looked at Adrian and did not seem to have perceived what he just said. "Well, can you drive?" Nick asked with hesitation clear in his voice.

Adrian rolled his eyes. Of course Adrian could drive. He did not have a driving license since he wasn't old enough, but he had been taught how to drive by his brother in his younger years.

"Just give me the keys." Adrian barked out without any patience at all. Nick dug out his keys from his pocket and threw them at Adrian who caught them with ease.

"Chill." Nick pled. "Take it easy with Emma, okay?"

"Shut the fuck up." Adrian growled. He was sick of everyone who seemed to warn Emma, who seemed to think that Adrian was some sort of monster. But maybe he was. He could sometimes see himself just like that - a monster.

Without any more words said Adrian left the party. When he passed Emma he grabbed her hand in a strong grip and went towards Nick's car.

"Is he okay?" Emma asked panic-struck as to what had just happened.

Adrian threw her an irritated look and mimicked her question in his head: "is he okay".

"Adrian!" Emma tried to slow down but without any success. Adrian however, thought it would be ridiculous to drag her on the ground so he stopped and pulled his hands over his head.

"Why do you care?" He said angrily.

Emma stared at him and wrapped her arms around herself. She was upset over the fight that Adrian caused. When would he stop with this nonsense? "Why not?" She asked and swallowed hard.

He paused, his gaze frozen on her. He had the urge to laugh at her but the truth was that Emma was like that. She cared about other people, even the ones she hated.

"Em...-" He didn't have time to say anything more before she interrupted him.

"Do you always have to get yourself in trouble?" She asked, on the verge of crying. "Every time we get out of the house..."

He shook his head. She didn't understand what was going on inside his head. It was like every guy who so much as looked at her, Adrian had the desire to strangle to a slow death. He wasn't used to being the jealous type but Emma belonged to him.

"Were going home." Adrian said, brooding on something while he unlocked the car and expected Emma to follow him. He turned around and saw Emma who had not moved an inch. She looked away and stood firm. Why was she always to stubborn?
