When I woke up, I felt pain. I also heard arguing. I squeezed my hands, trying to get whoever was arguing to stop. I slowly opened my eyes, and was blinded by the light. I groaned as I relapsed my grip to shield my eyes.
"Marinette, your wake. Thank god." Chloé? I looked around and recognized the familiar hospital setting.
"Not again" I sighed
"Yep, but at least it wasn't Lilas fault this time." Chloé giggled
"So it's mine for trying to help you out." I teased.
"I don't know, it was your fault for forgetting the third guy was there."
"Where were you when this happened?"
"Getting my ass handed to me."
"Exactly." I giggled, and instantly regretted it. Hissing I clutched my hip. I bit my lip hard enough for it to bleed.
"You alright?" Damian asked
"Yeah, just painful. Nothing I'm not use to." I said with a small smile.
"What do you mean?" Damian asked
I looked at Chloé and she nodded. Telling him for me. I looked around the room as she retold the story about being pushed down the stairs and how Lila assaulted her with a knife, that ended up with two over night stays. I saw Jason standing in the corner of the room. He gave me a small nod then turned to Chloé, as she told the stories. But there was longing in his eyes. I smirked, for I knew that look better than anyone.
"Angel why didn't you tell me these things?" Damian asked, a frown on his face.
"Because, one I have only known you for three days. Two, I don't like bringing up that part of my past. Now that I can finally get away from it." I sighed "you don't know what it's like to have everyone you thought were your closest friends and have them turn on you, then later have them beat you in an alleyway because someone told one lie!"
Silence. "Dang it. Stupid emotions. Chloe will you explain. I would but I am currently trying to repress the emotion again."
"Marinette, the reason your lashing out, is because you keep suppressing your emotions!! Lila didn't help, neither did Hawkmoth!!!"
"I KNOW THAT!!! You were there with me!!! With Fu gone I'm in charge now!!! Not only is Hawkmoth still out there, but I had to leave so I could deal with my life!!! Sorry it's not on my terms!!!"
Chloe places a hand on my arm. "Mari, take a deep breath." I followed her instructions. She has been able to talk me out of these things more than once. "Good. Why don't Pollen and Tikki sit with you, while me and the boys go out in the hallway for a second."
I sighed "Chloé I'm not a child."
"Really? If you keep that attitude up, no I've cream for you."
"Noo!!! You know I need my sweets as much as Tikki!!!"
"Then put the puppy dog eyes away, and drink some water. We will be right back." Chloé grabbed Damian and Jason's hand and led them outside. Tikki and Pollen sat on my shoulder and gave a small smile.
"I'm so glad your ok, Guardian. You gave us quit the scare." Pollen said with a sigh.
"Tikki could you grab my makeup bag. I know the scares are starting to show. They can't know about them. It's bad enough Chloé knows about the stabbing, she doesn't need to know about the rest of it." I said as I pushed a button on my bed to make it sit up. I smiled. fancy.
"Mari you need to talk to someone. Anyone, you blew up again. And this time was worse than the last one."
I sighed and placed a hand on my head. "I know Tiki. I do, it's just hard. I hate feeling like this. Hiding my scares from Chloé and Damian, now, feels awful. I feel so isolated, and I can't even form words to tell you how bad I feel each time I blow up. It's like I'm underwater, and can't find a way to the surface. Looking in the mirror is hard enough, but telling them makes it worse."
I finished applying makeup, just as Damian and Chloe returned. I stashed the makeup under my pillow and waited. They both took their original seats and stared. Damian just look at me, there was no emotion in his eyes or in his face.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Chloé asked
"Tell you what?" I asked
"That Lila did worse to you then the last hospital trip."
I froze "Who told?"
"Pollen. She knew something was off, so she told me."
"Pollen, I told you not to tell." I said
"You know I do what's best for the Guardians health before doing as asked. I did it with Fu, I'll do it with you too." Pollen stated. There was no room for arguing.
"Ugh! I did want you to know because, I am finally free. I haven't been free in a long time. I am free of Hawkmoth for now. I am free of Lila. I am free of that class. Do you know how hard it was not to be akumatized? It took Tikki and Master Fu to calm me down. I had half a mind to let Hawkmoth take over my head. My friends betraying me. Why I'm so cautious around guys. Everything was fine then Lila showed up, now I am trying to get by with the little sleep I get at night, twelve gallons of coffee. You don't know half of it. You weren't Lilas main target. You know what she told me. She said that I was lucky I lasted this long. Her other victims, Suicide. My life is basically a joke!"
Silence.
"Feel any better?" Chloé
I stopped, but felt a weight being lifted off my shoulders. Man emotions have baggage.
"Much. You know I love you right?"
"We're best friends. Of course you do."
Chloe hugged me, but I hissed again and wished I didn't move. Stupid injury. I payed back down and turned to Damian.
"Sorry you had to witness that. I hate that you and your family got dragged into this."
I closed my eyes and looked up. This was a disaster. Damian was nice, caring even. He made sure that I got to blow off some steam, made sure I got back to the hotel room safely. He even carried me to the hospital. Wait. He didn't carry me to the hospital. I must have been dreaming. I felt something grab my hand and my chin. When I looked to where Chloe was a second ago, she was gone. The hand belonged to.....Damian. He forced me to look into his eyes, as he spoke the words that I wish were true.
"It's not your fault."
"Yes it is."
"How? You can't control how Lila acted, you definitely can't control how many brain cells your class has." I giggled. He even got me to laugh. The last time I laughed was when Nino, Alya, and Adrien came over and I shot milk out my nose. "You, Marinette, are an amazing person. If you weren't then I wouldn't be here. I am a very blunt person. You can ask Jason. But i think he is trying to figure out a way to ask out Chloe."
"I bet you, he asks within a week. I saw the look he gave her when I woke up. I may not have known your family long, but I know you don't do emotions."
"That is the understatement of the year. I accept your challenge. I say he asks in a month." I didn't even realize that we were getting closer and closer to each other. "Can I kiss you?"
I gave a small nod. His lips gently brushed mine, testing. Giving me enough time to back out. I may have only known him for a little while, but Damian made me feel safe. He came to look for me when I snuck away during dinner. Giving into the kiss, I leaned farther in. But not too far, for I was far too soar to move all the way. He gently cupped the back of my neck, the other braced on the bed. When we finally broke off, I smiled a genuine smile.
"Your amazing, just the way you are." He whispered.
"Thanks you Damian." I kissed his cheek, and leaned back into the bed. "Can you go grab a doctor. I am in a lot of pain."
"Yeah, please tell me next time before I start kissing you. I hate it when your in pain."
"You are one strange person, Damian Wayne."
"Why thank you. I do want you to know one thing before I go."
"And that is?"
"I loved you since I met you. Your the only person that can make me feel the way I do."
I blushed "UGH!!! Your so cliche. I think I have loved you since we met as well."
"Good to know." He chuckled before kissing my cheek and leaving.
"What just happened?"
"You just fell in love and was kissed" Tikki stated
I covered my face and groaned. I was not expecting to fall in love when I moved here.

Hey guys,
SO I know that I made Damian and Marinette kiss in this chapter, and not a lot of people like that. I just felt like, it fit for the scene that was playing out. Please don't be to angry with me.
