Damian and Jason were heading back to the manor, when they heard a gun shot then a minuet later, a second. They rushed to an alley and heard someone yelling. As Damian got closer he wished he put them in the car himself. There laying on Chloes lap was Marinette. Damian rushed over and lifted her up, after looking at her wound. Shot ok the right side of her stomach. She passed out. Damian turned and saw Jason concerting Chloé.
"We have to get to the hospital." Damian stated
"There is one right around the corner. I saw it on our drive to Sarah's." Chloé replied
They rushed to the hospital. Desperate to save their friend.
Damian was a mess. He didn't like seeing his Angel like this. He felt something move in her pocket, but didn't linger to long in the matter. As they entered the hospital, a nurse rushed over with a Gurnee.
"What happened?" She asked
"Kidnapping attempt. We were walking home and we got cornered. There was three of them. We took down two, but forgot about the third." Chloé retold

"Alright. CLEAR THE WAY!!" The nurse shouted, and rushed Marinette to the back. As they got closer to the back, Marinette's breathing became even more shallow than it was before.
"OUT OF THE WAY!!!" She shouted again. When they got Mari hooked up to the heart machine, her heartbeat was slow. Too slow. The nurse injected pentobarbital. It will place her in a coma but it will help keep her brain from overloading. The doctor walked in and get prepared for surgery. This was going to be a long night. The X-ray showed the bullet was stuck between her rib and hip. It took almost two hours to remove it, it was so close to major arteries and organs they had to have percussion. When it was over, Marinette's breathing evened out, and she was finally resting. The nurse injected the medication needed to bring her out of the coma, but it would be a couple days before she woke up. They walked out to the waiting room, and saw all the Waynes the famous designer Adury Bouisous, along with her daughter.
"Marinette Dupin-Cheng?"
They all rushed over. Bruce was the first to break the silence.
"How is she?"
"Resting. We were successfully able to remove the bullet. She is now able to see visitors."

Chloe rushed to her room. Last time she visited Marinette in the hospital, Lila shoved her down the stairs and forced her into a coma. She didn't wake up for a month. Her parents visited often, but not as often as they wished. When she entered the heart monitor was the first noise that greeted her. She sighed. Taking a seat on the left side of Marinette, she grabbed her hand.
"Geez Mari, you gotta stay out of the hospital. Lila's not here anymore. You got away. You fought her off. You won the war. Come on Marinette. I don't think I can live with myself if you left me here. Your all I have left." A tear rolled down her cheek. She didn't move to whip it away. She just watched Maris chest rise and fall. Rise then fall again.
'I refuse to let her leave me.' She thought.
There was a knock on the door. She looked away and wiped her eyes. When she looked back Damian and Jason were in the doorway. Jason rushed to Chloe's side, trying to comfort her, but she kept pushing him away. Till she remembered what Marinette said many years ago.
'It's ok to be sad. It's ok to get comfort. You may think it's your fault, but you have no control over what happens. So take the comfort.'
When Jason tried again, she didn't fight this time. He pulled her into a hug and rubbed circles on her back. She sighed. Promising herself no more crying. She saw Damian take a seat on Marinettes right side. He grabbed her hand and flinched from how cold it was.
"Angel, you gotta stop scaring people so much. Do you have any idea how worried we were? Of course not, your always looking out for everyone else, you forgot to look out for yourself."
They stayed like this for awhile. Chloe eventually fell asleep, Damian just staring at Marinette, Jason went to grab cloths for them and some food. They didn't leave, and barely slept the next few days. Jason made sure both Chloe and Damian showered and eat. It wasn't easy, both were extremely stubborn about leaving Marinette's side. Till Chloé felt something squeeze her hand.
