A blade.
Cold metal bites anything in its path.
Sharpened.
Precision and accuracy crown and adorn.
Wielded.
Endless uses. Destruction. Creation.
This one reveals
figures dancing in ice.
This one removes
a malignant, malicious growth of death.
This one prepares
food to nourish the body.
This one hastens
the Devil's course.

Recently I've been analysing and responding to Gwen Harwood's poem "Prize-Giving", which uses a lot of enjambment to affect the speed the poem is comprehended at, and alter the mood.
The prompt "knife" was given to me by a friend (yes the same friend, we are creative people)
