"Look, I'm sorry! He just told me that... this school is bad for me. I'm going to a private school and I'm not allowed to see you. I'm really sorry, I hope we can meet again in college or something I don't know. Um... I'm gonna miss you..." Kurt replayed the message over and over in voicemail.

Both boys cried that day knowing they may very well never see their best friend ever again.

****************

Kurt threw his bag down and flopped on his bed. Looking at the picture of him and his best friend, he yelled, "Oh Blaine! If you knew the day I had today you'd help me kill Karovsky! Ugh what's his deal?!"

He picked up the picture and began to calm down.

"Where are you anyway? Just give me a sign that you're okay, at least!"

He closed his eyes and held the picture to his chest. A knock on his door sent him into a panic, placing the picture back and wiping away excess tears.

"The fuck do you want?" He yelled.

"J-Just letting you know, the... the um..."

"The what?!" Kurt snapped. "Spit it out, Finn!"

"Pizza will be done soon!" He flinched and walked away.

Finn knew when Kurt got like that, he was thinking of Blaine. Kurt was a generally nice kid. Ever since the night Blaine moved away, he'd never been the same. It scared him... He longed to have his best friend by his side again.

Not a single night went by in over five years that Kurt didn't think about him. Even for just a second when he noticed Blaine's favorite foods or passed by his house.

He went down stairs to the kitchen. Burt had been chatting with Finn and Rachel. This made Kurt smile since Rachel was his best friend after Blaine.

"Hey, Rach!" He gleamed.

Finn breathed a sigh of relief knowing Kurt was calm. Rachel turned and smiled at him. She gave Finn small peck on the lips and followed Kurt upstairs.

She noticed the pillow in his bed was completely torn. She looked back at Kurt who blushed.

"Blaine?" she questions.

Kurt nods.

"I've just never met anyone like him... He was so awesome! No offense."

"None taken." Rachel replied motioning for Kurt to get hugged.

Kurt accepted the hug happily. Rachel was always a great friend even if she was very loud and competitive...

"You gotta get over him, white boy!" Mercedes said plopping down in the seat in front if Kurt.

Kurt gave a disaproving look to Rachel.

"It's nothing, really. I don't know why I'm so hung up on him. Guess he was just a really great friend..."

"Maybe it was something more?" Tina chimes in. "From the sounds of him, he's amazing..."

"I doubt it. I mean he is definitely hot and all but..." he choked over his words.

This made just about everyone at the lunch table crack up.

"Sh-shut up! It's not like that!!"

"Oh yes, it is. And it's cute. Is he gay?" Rachel asks.

"No...." Kurt sighs.

Tina smiled accordingly. There was a silence until the bell rang.
