"Dad!" Blaine screamed. "Dad, y-you gotta let me out!"

"Why?" Jo demanded. "So you can go turn into a fag with that Kurt kid?!"

"I'm straight! I promise I'm straight!"

Jo laughed at the boy's pleads. Meanwhile, Blaine was back in the closet, literally. It was a technique Jo had seen online but if he'd had any sense, he'd know that being suffocated in a closet wasn't really gonna make him want to be straight.

"Dad, please! I can't breathe right in here!"

It was true. The doors were air sealed and most of the space around him was filled in by clothing. He felt as if he might pass out.

He continued to call, but after the silence proved permanent, he realized his father had left him there. He covered his mouth, knowing he would soon be experiencing a panic attack.

He always did after his father was done with him. He tried the techniques he'd learned online, but he needed Kurt in that moment. He knew Kurt would be able to help and it seemed like nothing and no one else would.

"Hey, where's Blaine?" Finn asked.

Kurt was sitting alone in his room when Finn knocked on the door.

"He went home..." Kurt sighed.

He was visibly worried about something and Finn could only pray it wasn't Blaine. Then again, that had to be the reason since Blaine wasn't right next to him, comforting Kurt or something.

"Why?"

"He just said he had to leave..." Kurt whispered. "Said his dad texted him..."

"What's with his dad?" Finn asked.

Kurt looked down. While he didn't know Blaine's dad was abusive, he knew Blaine's dad was an alcoholic and homophobic. At that point, Kurt realized what the two meant.

Combined with the small whimper he'd heard when Jo slammed the door. He immediately snapped out of his chair and went to grab his keys.

He opened the front door and there he was... Karovsky.

***************

"Please, dad..." Blaine repeated. "Please."

He rocked back and forth on the floor of the closet, praying his father would let him out. He didn't know what the air supply in there was. He didn't know how much more his claustrophobia could kick in.

He didn't know how much time he had before he was stuck in a full-blown panic attack. He was on the verge of tears at that point. He was scared to say in the least, but that was calmer when he got an idea.

It was pretty risky since he didn't know if his father was standing right out side the door. He carefully grabbed a hanger and tried to pry open the rubber flap at the bottom of the door.

He was shaking the entire time in fear. After the flap had fallen, he tried to get his hand through the small crack. It took a while, but once he finally did, he started searching around for his phone.

Unfortunately, a few seconds later someone stepped on his hand. More like stomped on it, and then poured the remainder of the liquor he didn't already drink on it as well.

Needless to say, it was agonizing. Though, just like Blaine had hoped, Jo accidentally kicked his phone under the door. While his hand felt as if it were on fire, he tried typing in the password to his phone.

If his dad was drunk, he might fall and hurt himself. It always seemed to happen and Blaine was always punished further for it. His fingers were numb then, and he couldn't get them to type the right number combination.

He let out a small sob as his body expressed the first stage of a panic attack. He was sweating now, absolutely petrified.

************

"Wait!" Kurt whimpered. "I swear I didn't tell anyone! My dad is home and so is Finn!"

Hearing his name, Finn appeared and immediately seemed upset. A few seconds later, Karovsky was pinned against the wall and Kurt was trembling.

"I'm not here to hurt him!" Karovsky quickly said. "I-I came to warn him."

***********

He didn't speak anymore. He was simply waiting for his fingers to return to normal. He had one properly working hand, but it was trembling more and more every time he tried to type.

He was sobbing which caused his body to heave up and down. The only other time he felt like that was when he moved away from Kurt. He was slowly coming to the realization of just how much he needed him.
