This idea was inspired by the series Lost in Austen. We were not terribly impressed with Amanda's entire person or how she handled any of the situations and decided that Darcy and Bingley deserved a better chance than she bulldozed over them. Amanda was supposed to be a normal person thrown into a different time, but she came across as a bumbling, clueless cad who had absolutely no knowledge of Regency Era etiquette despite being a professed 'biggest fan.' I am embarrassed to consider myself a fan if that's the definition we're going with.
That being said, this is a shameless Mary Sue fanfic. I will not pretend it is anything else. If you choose to take it seriously, good on you, otherwise sit back, enjoy the drama, and have yourself a cuppa.
