Monday. The worst day of the week. Why? Well, you wake up from a nice weekend, and then you realize you have school. That's why. And, unfortunately, this is where it starts. Our adventure. And it's the day I meet Will. So, naturally, I wake up on a Monday and go to school.
The day passed agonizingly slow, and I was just about to shut my locker, when a sharp pain shot from my wrist. "Ow!," I exclaimed, jumping back. I stumbled, and my foot caught on the upper-right hand corner of a textbook I left on the ground. I then began to fall, backwards, and in slow motion.
As I braced for impact, I was caught by two hands- very strong ones I might add- and they lifted me up. I turned around slowly, to come face to face with a kid, who was smiling back at me. "Sorry I bumped into you!," I said casually as I moved my hand over the tattoos. "No problem!," the boy replied, sticking out his hand. "I'm new in Kärment. My name's Will."
I took his hand into mine awkwardly, and said,"Becca. Becca Glass."
I smiled awkwardly as I stared into his blue eyes. He was beautiful. Utterly beautiful. Blonde side swept hair, perfect light freckled skin, and the bluest of blue eyes. His upper lip curled into a smile as he watched me squirm. "You okay?," he asked in the cutest way possible. I nearly fainted. "Yeah.""Coolio." He replied. He stuffed his hands in his corduroy jeans and looked up at the bland ceiling tiles. "So," he continued, breaking the silence. "You're my first friend here, so you wanna exchange numbers?"
I almost died on the spot. "SURE!," I exclaimed a little TOO enthusiastically. I scribbled my number on a purple post it, and you recited yours out loud. I smiled sheepishly when we were done, and then I realized you were looking at me. Like I was more than a friend. "Bye!," Will said, and with that he turned and left. I then took the time to feel my wrist. "Ow," I whispered. I moved my two fingers over my tattoos. My half moon was cold as ice, but my infinity was burning hot, as Will strode down the hallway.
Hey guys! I hope you like it so far. I made this story up out if the blue and I figured you guys would like it. If you don't remember the intro, Becca lives in a world 100 after now. Everyone has a tattoo on their wrist that is half of a shape, and when you find your soulmate, it will heat up. When you are farther away, it is extremely cold. Becca has mendastomy, a flaw where you have two tattoos instead of one. That is why she says tattoos. Kärment is the city where they live. If you have any questions about the story, comment below. Remember to comment down below- I welcome constructive criticism. Oh, and try to remember the purple post it bit. It will be important later on. Bai!
