The weather was messy. Huge rain drops were smashing against the windows. Eddie was watching the drops slide down the glass. This was his favorite kind of weather. It really got his inspiration flowing in his veins. He was working on the essay he got from the history teacher on a Friday night.

"Eddie bear!", Sonia's strong voice was heard from downstairs.

"What?", Eddie responded. There was a minute of silence before he finally decided to get up and check his mom. He could easily hear the thunders through the thin walls. He would jump every time.

"How are your friends? I was thinking.. maybe you can ask them to come over for dinner sometime, what do you say?" she asked him, full of excitement.

"Ugh.. is this really why you called me to come downstairs?"

"Eddie, please. They have to taste my new chicken recipe!", his mom was now begging him with puppy eyes.

"I.. um.. okay, fine. But I can't guarantee you they'll come", he responded on a slightly annoyed tone.

"You won't give up that easily", she said then brought her newspaper back in her face.

Eddie was frustrated by his mother's thinking. He ran back upstairs and shut his door then grabbed his paper and sat on his bed, thinking about some other things he could write. His mind couldn't properly focus because he kept thinking about Stan and the others. They are so sweet to him, but they don't get anything back from him. He was now laying on his back, thinking about his walk back home with Stan, from a few days ago. And then he started thinking about that question. Does he really have a crush? It really doesn't sound right, considering the fact he only met them like 2 months ago. And they are his friends. Why does he make everything sound so romantic? He is too young to have a girlfriend or even a boyfriend at this point.

He sat back up, looking at the steamed windows. Everything was really quiet, before the sound of a rock brought Eddie back to reality. He rubbed his eyes and walked to the window. He carefully opened it, looking down.

"Heya, dude!", the red haired girl said. "Surprised to see me?"

She was wet from head to toes. Her short hair was stuck on her face as she was screaming the words. That kind of made Eddie crack up.

"Yeah, yeah. What are you doing here though? And how do you know my damn address?"

"Hang on there, Mr. Detective." She grabbed a tree branch and sloppily made her way up. She then grabbed on the sill and crawled inside.

"Huh, that was one hell of a ride!" she laughed almost running out of breath.

"I can see that. So, what's the catch? Why are you here?", Eddie tilted his head on the side waiting for an answer.

"First off, I was bored. Second, Stan told me where you lived. Great guy."

"Damn it. Okay, and what brings you here? I mean I get it, you were bored. But why here? Out of all your friends."

"'Cause they're all dumbasses. Plus Stan told me he was going somewhere with Bill", she winked. "Anyway, what are you up to?"

"Writing this stupid essay.. but I mean I'm getting a good grade for it so I won't complain."

"Cool. Wanna go somewhere? And wait. Wait. Is that a woman's underwear?" she bursted out laughing on the floor.

"What?!", Eddie quickly turned his head to where Bev was pointing and he got all red. "Oh, they're... my mom's."

"Alright, but why is your mom's underwear in your room?"

Bev was still laughing and that made Eddie feel kind of bad.
