⚠ Trigger Warning ahead ⚠"Breathe Candy. It's going to be okay, I promise," Jungkook was beside himself with worry. Jin had collapsed that morning. It was cold and he had had been battling a slight flu for the past few days. But this morning, everything just went south.
Seokjin and Jungkook had been living together for the past few months now. Jungkook had insisted on it as the time neared for Jin to have his baby. He didn't want to take any chances and he also didn't trust Jin to be alone with Min Yoongi still not behind bars for his crimes.
Jin had a 24 hour personal guard hence he was never alone. Even if Jungkook had to leave the country for events, he ensured that Namjoon's team made Jin their priority. He had posted guards outside Taehyung's hospital room as well after a masked intruder had been found lurking in Tae's room. Fortunately, Dr Park was making his ward rounds and had come upon the intruder. He had immediately alerted security personnel but the person was long gone.
Jungkook wasn't taking any chances after that. He didn't care about costs, Jungkook would do anything and everything for his friends and Taehyung was still a major shareholder and partner in their business.
"Twinkie....it hurts so bad." Jungkook wiped the sweat off Jin's forehead and walked beside him, holding his hand tightly as he was wheeled into the delivery room.
A few hours later, little Kim Aaria was born, on a cold, winter's day, similar to the one that her parents had met on after all those years. She was absolutely gorgeous and the apple of her uncle Jungkook's eyes. He wouldn't part from her.
As Jin lay in bed, recovering, he took her to visit her abeoji. He placed Aaria on his chest, moving his arms to cradle her. A small tear escaped Taehyung's eye as Aaria cooed against him. Jungkook brushed away the tears from his own eyes. He snapped a few pics of them together then took his little angel back to his appa.
Seokjin was stirring. He smiled softly when Jungkook entered the room, holding Aaria tightly. Seokjin began to feed her and Jungkook watched, mesmerized at Jin. When he was done, he picked her up and placed her in the cot next to the bed. She yawned and fell into a deep sleep.
Jungkook had about 50 photos of her already in his phone. He couldn't help himself. He was in love. She was his everything. He showed Jin the pictures with Taehyung and he had cried, holding onto Jungkook for a long while. His VV was a mere shadow of himself now.
........
The months passed by and Aaria was crawling everywhere. Jungkook was on super high alert, baby proofing everything. Seokjin and he would often clash at what Jin called his neuroticism. Jungkook didn't care; he believed in the motto to rather being safe than sorry.
⚠⚠
Seven months after Aaria was born, Taehyung suffered from coronary heart failure and passed away. His death spiralled Seokjin into a deep depression. He knew it was coming. Dr Park had warned him of Taehyung's weakened condition aforehand. There wasn't much that they could do except to let him go in peace.
Jungkook was a mess. He cared for Aaria alone while Seokjin closed himself off from the world. The love of his life was no more.
Arrangements for the funeral were made. It rained heavily that day. Seokjin thought it apt that the heavens cried with him. His Aaria would never know the wonderful person that her abeoji was. How he had such a kind heart and how much he loved his friends and his zest for his passions and life. Seokjin would make sure that he gave Aaria a legacy of love left by her abeoji.
............
Three years later....
"Twinkie, I've made a decision. I'm leaving Korea for good."
Jungkook looked up, shock and complete despair written across his face.
"You can't Candy! You can't leave!" He was desperate.
"You don't understand Twinkie. I feel stifled here. I hate everything about this fucking place! All this country has done is taken from me! My family, my VV, I-I.......I can't do it anymore! I'm going to take up my agent's offer and go back to the U.S."
Jungkook couldn't take it anymore. He stormed out of the house without going to see Aaria first. He drove to a bar and sat there looking at his drink. He didn't know how long it was until the bartender shook him by his shoulder and he came out of his reverie.
He left his drink. Jungkook hated alcohol anyway. The only time he ever let loose was when Seokjin would want to go out drinking. Seokjin..... his Candy.....it's been years and he's too much of a coward to let him know how he feels. And now he was going to lose him and Aaria forever. All because he was too chicken to talk to him and tell him how he feels.
He knows that Jin is still in love with Taehyung. He knows he'll never match up. Taehyung was the best person he had ever known. His heart still cried for his friend. He didn't deserve the brutality that was given to him. A tear escaped Jungkook's eyes as he left the bar and headed home.
Aaria was fast asleep in her little princess bed and Seokjin was on the couch, head resting on a cushion, no doubt, waiting for Jungkook to return. Jungkook's breath hitched. He looked like an angel. He leaned in and placed a soft kiss to his forehead. Seokjin stirred a little and Jungkook moved back.
When Jin opened his eyes, he found Jungkook looking at him sheepishly.
"Come here you big dummy." And Jin enveloped Jungkook in a tight hug.
"Please don't leave me Candy," Jungkook cried in his arms. "I-I .....oh fuck!"
Seokjin looked at him questioningly, worry lines etched on his forehead.
"What's wrong Twinkie? Look at me."
"I-I .......oh God! I love you Candy."
All the colour drained from Seokjin's face. Jungkook watched as he got up and walked to his room, closing the door behind him.
