everyone knows about orochimaru's defection from the hidden leaf village.

Naruto and his sister are now three years old and orochimaru still couldn't figure out who the spy was.
It then occurred to him that every time he went to check on the children there was a small flock of crows not far from the window.

He then quickly assumed that there's only one person he knew used crows as a summons. And that was Itachi Uchiha.
Why he hadn't noticed until now was simple really. Itachi's been sending his Crow's in the dead of night to spy on the children.
Orochimaru then summons a snake and said.
"Bring me that crow and make sure it doesn't get away!!!. I have a message to send back with it."
The snake then lunged at the crow and parylized it with it's venom. It then coiled around the crow as orochimaru took out a pen and paper and wrote a note that said.
"If the council attempts to kidnap my children again. There shall be war between the hidden leaf and hidden sound village.
I shall not hesitate to kill everyone on the council including the hokage himself. Mark my words Itachi Uchiha... your clans days are numbered."
Orochimaru then attached the note to the Crow's leg and using a small dose of anti-venom set the crow free and back to its summoner.
When Itachi got back his crow and read the letter attached to it's leg he realized that konoha was in far bigger trouble then expected.
He had to warn jiraiya and the hokage fast. He then rushed off back to the hidden leaf village and reported in to the hokage minato namikaze.
Itachi then presented the letter to minato and Kushina and said.
"As you can see Lord Hokage orochimaru is fully aware that my Crow's have been spying on his children and infiltrated his village.
Council elder Danzo also knows that my crow summons are reliable Messengers and could go easily unnoticed unlike toads or dog's. However my Crow's made a big mistake."
And minato asked.
"Just what mistake would that be Itachi???."
And Itachi said.
"The mistake of using the same accessable window an getting too close.
Orochimaru captured one of them with his snake summons and attached that letter to it as a warning.
I'm sorry to say that any further spying and infiltration missions would be ill advised with my Crow's.
Your going to have to find a new way to spy on the hidden sound.
I cannot put my family's lives at risk any longer. I'm sorry Lord fourth. But that's my final decision."
