chapter 8: a parents love.a sons hatred.

Ever since menma and his parents got home they had spoken to each other but barely.

And whenever he did speak with his parents it was with honorifics like. Lord namikaze. Or lady uzumaki.

It upset minato and Kushina that their child their son they brought into the world wouldn't even look at them as his parents anymore.

They offered to train him before the academy but he simply refused saying that he'd rather die than be trained by a pair of liars.

Kushina and minato had feared this would happen.
They told him everything and yet he still wouldn't call them mother or father at all anymore.

Kushina then said.

"What else can we do minato!!!. Menma is angry with us and no matter what we tried or what we offer him he still refuses to acknowledge us as his parents!!!.

I want our son back minato!!.
I want that cheery prankster we brought into the world back. This is all your fault minato namikaze!!!."

And minato said.

"My fault!!!. How's any of this my fault!!!.

Your the one who told me that you wanted our son to live a normal life and wouldn't ever be able to make contact with the kyuubi didn't you!!!.

Weren't you supposed to make sure that no matter what happens he didn't learn the truth about the night he was born???. You practically begged me to make it a clan secret.

Against my better judgement I did as you asked and even made the council swear themselves and their children to secrecy.

And once again as usual we still should have just told him the truth and now look what's happened because of our mistake!!!. Our own son hates us!!!."

And kushina said.

"Don't you dare try and guilt trip me into taking the blame here minato namikaze!!!.
Your just as much at fault as I am!!!.

Either you find a way to fix this or I'm filing for divorce and taking menma with me!!!. You have until the end of the week to decide or menma and I are packing up and leaving for rice country."

Kushina and minato didn't know it but their argument was so loud that their son could hear everything from his room.

Menma then said to himself.

"They wouldn't really do that would they???. I thought they loved each other. So why are they arguing over me???.

They had half of a demon fox sealed inside of me. What kind of parents do that to their own child???.

If they think that their better off without me then that's what I'll do. I'll run away.

It shouldn't be too hard to give those ANBU bastards the slip. If I can outrun them during the day I can do it at night as well.

"That's not a very wise decision to make you know.
