Mina's head rested softly on Jimin's shoulder as he laid back on the sofa in their living room. She had fallen asleep a while ago, having been lulled to sleep by the soft music playing in the background. Jimin wasn't about to move and wake her anytime soon, and so, he decided to make the most of the time he had. With a piece of string in one hand and a couple charms in the other, Jimin set to work.
Many things had changed since Jimin started dating Mina. Most weren't visible to the eye, other than Jimin's constant smile. However, some things were slightly more noticeable than others. There were so many little things that only his members noticed every now and then. Jimin liked to reminisce on these things often.
For example, Jimin once wore friendship bracelets for three entire months not too long ago. It wasn't even one or two at a time. At one point, Jimin wore up to fifteen colourful bracelets on each arm. Whenever fans asked him why, he simply said he liked them nowadays. Only his closest friends knew how so many began to pile up on his wrist. The truth was that Mina had started to weave friendship bracelets as a hobby; it was just something she had taken an interest to lately. She looped and knotted the vivid strings whenever she had free time as she lounged around their apartment. Jimin would often see her curled up on the sofa in a thick blanket while making whatever pattern of bracelet she felt like doing that day. Of course, Jimin would sit down next to her and put on a movie for the both of them to watch. He had no qualms with sitting with her all evening, as long as they spent time together. The patterns she wove were intricate and fascinating to look at; Jimin had no idea how she did it. At the end of the night, Mina would tie the bracelet around Jimin's wrist for him to wear. He wore them proudly wherever he went.
Another instance would be Mina's temporary obsession with making jewellery; namely earrings. It seemed hard to Jimin, but Mina insisted it was a simple task. She would carefully craft little clay charms or find jewels to attach to small wires. Mina made countless pairs of earrings. She wore a few herself, but what she enjoyed most was putting them on Jimin. He didn't mind wearing them. In fact, he loved it. Jimin adored the giddy smile on her face whenever she saw him wearing something she made. His fans couldn't seem to figure out what brand of jewellery he was wearing, and Jimin preferred to keep it that way. He wore those whenever he felt like it; sometimes he even wore them onstage whenever he could convince his stylists.
Unfortunately, even if he wanted to, he could probably never get away with wearing any of Mina's knitted apparel onstage. Nonetheless, he was more than welcome to wear them at any other time. Knitting was a phase that Mina had enjoyed for many years. To this day, she had always taken an interest in knitting. On cold winter days, she would wrap him up in soft, knitted scarves and hats she wove herself. Jimin found that they kept him the warmest, though he didn't know if that was because of the material or the person who made them. He suspected it was the latter.
There were countless other phases Mina had imposed on him; though the impositions were always welcome. The most recent of which was the hair-braiding. Sometimes, when Jimin groggily ate breakfast early in the morning, Mina would come up behind him and begin to play with his hair. It was not uncommon for her to brush her fingers through his short locks, and so at first, Jimin thought nothing of it. One day, she let out a gasp and dashed off. Jimin was understandably confused and called after her. Mina quickly returned with a hair-tie in hand and told him to stay still. When she stepped back from him with an adorable smile on her face, Jimin had a little braid in his hair. He simply laughed and went about his day. Whenever Mina put braids in his hair, Jimin wouldn't let the stylists remove them. He loved to see the absolute delight on her face when she realizes he still had them on at the end of the day.
This brings Jimin to where he was now, tying the finishing knot on a charm bracelet he made himself. Jimin wanted to make something for Mina to wear, in return for all the little things she gave him. By this time, it was already 2 in the morning, and the girl in question was still fast asleep on his shoulder. Without waking her, Jimin gently grabbed her wrist and fastened the bracelet there. He smiled momentarily at the sight of her dozing peacefully beside him before picking her up and putting the both of them to bed.
The very next morning, Mina had come rushing out of the washroom after getting herself ready for the long day ahead of her. She gleefully asked him if the bracelet was his doing. When he confirmed her thoughts, she give him the biggest hug her tiny frame could muster. Jimin grinned and pulled her closer. In that moment, Jimin knew that the extra hour of sleep he lost last night was all worth it. In less than an hour, Mina was out the door and ready to face the day. Before she left, she pressed a small kiss on his nose and ruffled his already messy hair. As Jimin waved from the doorway, he knew that, no matter how many things Mina gave him, she would always be the greatest gift of all.
