It was turning into spring at school, Justice High, I met up with my best friend, Jonah Marais and my bestie, Hallie Johnson. I also met up my other friends who are friends of Jonah: Daniel Seavey, Zach Herron, Corbyn Besson, and Jack Avery. They are all probably the best people I've ever met and I'm so happy I have them.
But let's get the story started.
8:30 AM
I wake up to my mom calling me downstairs.
"Emma! You're gonna be late!" she yells and I jump up.
I run down the stairs and in my bathroom. I shower quickly, brushing my teeth while I'm in there and I get out, walking to my closet.
I grab a long sleeve striped shirt with shorts and vans. I put on underclothes and put on my outfit. I do my hair and put on my glasses.
"Emma! Hurry up!" my mom yells.
"I'm coming!" I yell back and I grab my stuff.
I run out my room and into the kitchen. I grab a banana and kiss my mom on the cheek.
"You be good now. I love you." she says as I peal the banana.
"Love you too mom!" I say running out the front door and I run to school.
When I get there, I look around and I see Jonah. I run to him and jump on him. He catches me and jumps up and down.
"I missed you so much!!!" I yell as he laughs.
"I know! I missed you too!" he says putting me down and we laugh.
"How was Santa Cruz?" he asks.
"It was pretty cool. Boring without you though." I say as he smiles.
"I mean, I am the best." he says as I smile.
"Of course you are. How was Stillwater?" I ask.
"It was good. I love visiting my hometown and family. I missed you though." he says as I smile.
"So, do you still have a crush on Chase?" he asks as I shrug.
"I don't know, I haven't seen him in awhile." I say as Jonah rolls his eyes.
"Come on, he's a dick. And he keeps ignoring me on the baseball team like I don't exist." he says as I sigh.
"But he's cute and funny and popular-"
"And a dick." Jonah continues as I giggle.
"I wonder what it's like to be on his level." I say as we heard a car pull up and cheering.
We looked back to see Chase and his friends. Jonah rolls his eyes and I stare at Chase.
"He got cuter." I say as Chase looks over at us.
He walks over and I smile.
"Hey, Emma. Haven't seen you in so long. Still hotter than ever." he flirts as I smile.
"Thank you." I say.
"Hey Marais. Still on the baseball team?" he asks as Jonah nods.
"Yeah. I am."
"You still play like a little girl?" Chase asks laughing and punching Jonah's shoulder.
"No, actually. I never did." he says as Chase chuckles.
"Don't take it to heart dude. So Em, will I see you around?" he asks as I shrug.
"I guess." I say as he smiles and strokes my cheek.
