If the cosmos wasn't conspiring to make her day even more unfortunate then she was certain she was just born to be a lump of misfortune.

Next, someone handpicked her bag and stole her spare wallet, and although it was a spare wallet, it contained some of her cards.

Some of her misfortunes were minor but when the minorities piled up, it was really a pain in the ass.

No, scratch that.

It was not lost. It was taken and Kyle could only think of a single person who could do that.

The only thing she could do was search for him in a crowded nightclub because he wasn't answering her calls. Of course, why would he? He had always been an asshole to her.

Couldn't they see that she wasn't there to party? She was even wearing pyjamas, for the sake of Pete.

The blinding lights were making her head throb a little more. She would not be able to sleep knowing that her journal was in the hands of that man.

"..I can make you cum faster than the speed of light..." Kyle stopped walking and maybe it was not only because of the familiarity of the voice but also because of the scientific inaccuracy of the statement. She could not decide what made her angrier.

The words were inaudible but she tried her best to locate where the suspect was. Figures.

"Did you know that if you shouted in space even if someone was right next to you, they wouldn't be able to hear you."

Kyle could only cuss under her breath upon hearing that.

Oh no, not again.

"I did not know that. Why is that, smart guy?"

"Well...uh. The thing is...uh—"

"Vacuum," she interrupted, gently snaking her arm around the guy's neck. "There is a great distance between particles in the interstellar space that it is effectively a vacuum, and sound waves, being mechanical waves, travel through the vibration of molecules and atoms in a medium. So unless you got a radio unit out there, this girl right here won't be able to hear your preposterous flirting, unfortunately for you, the opposite for her."

There was a long silence after she said that. Kyle took her time and stared at the girl in front of her before looking at the guy beside her who was already looking at her intently. "What? Cat bit your tongue?" She made sure to give the guy a meaningful look while maintaining the smile on her face.
