Bridget's Little Secret

A month have pass and Bridget still the same as always. Alone and uncaring about the people around her.

"Bridget!"

It's been a week since Pink and Black starts recruiting Bridget to their circle of friends.
Involving her to their activities and forcing her to be part of it.
At first she feels that it is nothing and play along but she has been pestered really badly.

"Tomorrow, we will watch the seniors fight elemental wolves." Pink said.

"I don't have magic affinity. The teacher told me that I can stay out of it."

"W-why not? J-just watch in the side." Black said shyly.

"I'd rather read.Magic doesn't interest me." She left the two children.

Reading alone is her best hobby.
But it is not ordinary books but the magic potion books, about  magic circles and  summoning magic.

"Oh boy~ this  sucks too." Criticizing the new establish simplified magic in this era makes her laugh and giggles so badly.

"That is why magic declines. If a new demon King reborn, they'll be wipe out." She said happily flipping the book.

Awhile after that she felt an omnious aura.
She stops reading and look out.

"Thats....a devil?"

Devils are a high level summoned being or a thing of destruction. Summoning such thing can only bring destruction to anyone who doesn't have magic manipulation skill.

"Good Lord. A novice trying to put a fenrir in a leash? I say oh hail to the idiots." Bridget stands up. With a magic circle on her feet she is ready to teleported but stop.

"Wait. I can't go there. I can't use a summoned beast too. What if that devil is stronger? I can't reveal myself like this. I love my freedom. If I let them die....It is like I am mocking all the years I used to paving my way into the perfect hero, either. Sigh. Oh~ I know what to do!"

The first grader all watches the 3rd graders and 4th grader magicians fighting elemental wolves.
Suddenly from the teachers blind spot a small unassuming black cub walks wobbling in the center. A child tease it and throw a fireball wanting to ends its life but the cub absorbs the magic as if nothing happened.
The child got angry and try throwing more fireballs until it caught attention of the other students and teachers. The teacher wants to end the incident by killing the cub but just like the child's magic it got absorb. The teacher is not like the student. His magic is more concentrated and it is enough to paralyse an adult elemental wolf let alone a cub.
The teachers ask the students to back off and they(teachers) tried killing it.
Suddenly the black cub expel lighting sparks and a purple smoke out of its body. And then a red eyes white and black haired man appear.
Its red eyes brings fear to the students and made the teachers eagerly to let the students go.

A devil is mostly known as a contracted beast that came from a different world.
But they also can come to this world without a contractor as long as it can earn a huge amount of blood or offerings as its medium to cross world.
And they are more troublesome than contracted devil. Because contracted devil will disappear once the contractor died yet a devil who crosses world on its own volition will only leaves once they either go back on their own or dies.

"Run away! It's a devil's attack." The teacher of the 4th grader shouted to the stunned and shaking kids.

"I already sent my contracted beast to the head master. Let's hope we can handle this devil until then. The kids are our priority." The muscled man said.
