"Who the hell was that, Marie?!"

I finally looked up, my face still looking like a mess.

"My Dad."

She kind of just stood there in shock.

"I'm sorry." She said, looking down.

The next thing I knew, I looked up and he was standing there, again.

"Didn't you learn you lesson? Just leave me and Mom alone."

"I just want to make things better, Marie! If you would stop being so bitchy, perhaps we could go back to being a happy family."

"Don't take this out on Marie! I understand you are her father and all but, she is a really wonderful person and if she says she doesn't want you in her life, she means it." Cassy said, angrily.

"This is between me and my daughter, stay out of it, you whore."

That was it.

I punched him, once more.

"You have absolutely no right to be calling her a whore! If anything, you were the one cheating on mom with 4 other women, asshole."

"Is that seriously the only name you can think to call me, princess?"

"I'm not your princess, and you're not my Dad."

I look behind me to see Cassy, her eyes were teary and still, full of anger.

"We are leaving. Let's go, Cass."

I grab my bike and Cass follows behind.

When we finally arrive at her house, we put the grocery's up and go back up to her room.

Cassy sat on the bed and began crying.

I want to comfort her but, how?

I decide to sit next to her and I gave her a hug.

"I'm sorry you had to get involved-"

"No, I chose to get involved. Your father is a terrible man. You don't deserve to be treated like that."

I couldn't help it. I kissed her cheek.

"Thank you." I said, slightly smiling.

"For what?" She looked confused.

"For caring for me and being there for me when nobody else has been. Never in my life has anyone should be the love and affection that you do. I've felt more loved in one week then I have in my entire life."

She seemed as if she was speechless, but what is there to be speechless about?

"I've done nothing but be a bother to you and-"

"Let's not start with that bullshit."

"I love you, Marie."

"Believe me, I know." I said with a smile.

See, I can't bring myself to say it back because.. I don't exactly know what loving someone feels like.

It couldn't be what I feel for my mom because well, I also sort of hate her in a way.. I don't feel how I feel for Cass for my Mom.

I looked back up, ignoring me thoughts. Cassy was looking down, sort of pitifully.

"What's the matter?"

She scooted closer towards me and brushed my face.

"I don't know."

"You don't know?"

"I just don't get it-" she removed her hand and placed it on her lap.

"What?"

I felt as if I was supposed to understand what she was saying but, I didn't.

"I really don't understand why you're dealing with someone as pathetic as me. At the same time though, I WANT you to deal with me because, I don't want you to leave me."

"I-"

What am I supposed to say?

I pressed her down until I was leaning on top of her.

"Honey, I'm not leaving anytime soon and you're not pathetic, get it right." I said as I pressed my lips against hers. She didn't back away.

This lasted for a few minutes until I could feel my muscles giving out. I moved over next to her.

Her lips moved away from mine.

"You know.. This going to sound cheesy."

"What is it?"

"I have a wish. That wish is for us to spend our remaining life together. To achieve that though, I've got to get you to fall in love with me."

Her wish? In a way, I want the same thing, I just don't know if it's possible.

"Goodnight, Marie."

"Goodnight, Cass."

We both fell asleep.

(Sorry That this chapter was shorter then usual, it was also slightly rushed. I'll do my best to make the next one better~)
