We didn't wake up till around noon.
The first thing we did was walk downstairs. Everyone was gone.
"Where is everyone?"
"They are probably at church."
"I didn't know you were religious?"
"Well, I'm not really.. It's mainly my parents but they don't believe in forcing religion upon me so, I normally stay home."
"Oh?"
"Let's go to the kitchen and I'll make something. What're you in the mood for?"
"Anything sounds fine, I'm not that picky when it comes to food."
I sat down at the table as she went into the kitchen.
I took out my phone, which was in my pocket.
34 missed calls from Mom
"Well, shit."
"What happened?"
I didn't realize Cassy could hear me.
"It's nothing, don't worry about it."
She continued cooking as I looked through my phone. I noticed I had gotten a message from an unknown number.
Hi Marie :)
Hopefully you and your "friend" are having a good time :) Meet me at the Central Park at exactly 2pm or else I'll let everyone know your little secret relationship that's going on between you two;) xx
What the hell do I do? We aren't exactly well, together so, why does it matter? How do they even know about "us?"
My mother would probably disown me and I don't want a reputation for being the lesbian-freak..
Who could be behind this though? They didn't say I have to come alone so I could bring Cass-
Wait, no. I couldn't get her involved with my mess.
"Hey, Cass.. Do you know of anyone that knows about well.. us?"
"About us? I didn't think you considered us well-"
"Cassy. Do you? This is important."
"What I'm saying is, no."
"Well, I have to leave in a bit, could you give me your number?"
"I will but, why did you need to know?"
"It really doesn't matter, Cassy. I just needed to know."
"Alright.. If you want to talk, I'm here. By the way, my number is xxx-xxx-xxxx"
"Thanks."
She made pancakes and eggs and after we finished eating, I got ready to leave. I had an hour to get to the park before I'd be ruined..
"Well, I have to go, I'll see you at school."
"Wait before you go!"
She ran over and hugged me and whispered into my ear.
"Please don't ignore me again. If I do something wrong, just simply let me know."
She let go of me and stood back.
"Stay safe, Marie!" She said, with a smile.
I walked out of the house and grabbed my bike.
After a few minutes, I arrived.
I stayed aware of my surroundings just in case. This was probably a stupid decision to come with nobody around.
I heard footsteps and looked behind me to see a guy. He had dirty-blonde hair and what looked to be, green eyes. Don't get me, his looks weren't bad but, he gave me a suspicious feeling.
