Walking around was more fun than I thought, there were a lot of activities and cute places for pictures and merchandise. Not that I was planning on buying any of it but it was a cute decor. The girls fell a bit behind looking at small keychains and figurines of the Vocaloids. I smile at my friends as they argue who found the cutest one. The guys were doing some sort of "manly test" at this one booth that was crowded by a bunch of men. I snicker at Kiba's enthusiasm. Even Sasuke seems to be enjoying himself there, especially watching Naruto screw around and then getting in trouble with the vendor. Which I'd admit was a bit amusing considering Naruto never backs down. I call out to everyone that we should keep walking towards the stage. Everyone follows suit and once again I'm walking towards the back of the group. I'm not intentionally distancing myself from the rest of the group, at least I don't think I am, but I'm just really starting to feel anxious to be in a crowd of people that most likely have hardcore fans and hate my guts. I sigh unconsciously, when suddenly someone falls into step with me.
"What's the matter?', Gaara asks, looking into my eyes. I get flustered and avoid eye direct eye contact.
"Nothing's the matter...", I reassure with a slight smile, "why do you ask?"
He quirks an eyebrow at me, "You know you were sighing right?" I grow silent, not knowing how to retaliate. Which coincidently draws out a smile from him. I blush at the sight of him, the soft lighting of the concert venue really highlights his features and I'm just know noticing that it has grown darker as night arrives. "Don't tell me you're sighing cuz you're tired?", he muses, "the concert hasn't even started yet."
Not sure when I got so brave, but I give him a slight shove and reply, "Nah, I'm just surprised we spent the whole day here." He doesn't seemed bothered by my sudden initiation of contact. He tilts his head up and looks up at the sky.
"Ah, you're right, it's already getting dark out", he concludes looking towards me again.
"At least the lights will look extra cool when they perform!", I chime in cheerily. He nods in response and I notice his face grows more serious. I want to ask him what he was thinking of, but I wasn't sure if that would be a bit too forward.
"Hey..", he suddenly says, I noticed are pace as slowed down and we're a good distance away from the rest of the group. "I thought it was really nice of you to pay for Naruto today", he smiles brightly, "I know he really appreciated it." I realize where he was going with this conversation, I was going to protest that I was happy to do it, but I didn't feel that it would be right to interrupt him. "I was actually going to pay for him today but you beat me to it", he chuckles. I smile slightly in response. He continues on, "before you came, I actually didn't have any friends and honestly I didn't have a good connection with my siblings either." I was surprised to hear this considering Temari seems to think so highly of him now. "Naruto practically saved me from loneliness as corny as that sounds so he's very dear to me..." I'm at a lost for words so I just continue to stare at him, he stops walking so I stop too as he turns to me. "I guess what I'm trying to say is that I really appreciate what you did for him too." The intensity of his eyes was too much for me so I smile warmly and tell him that I was happy to do it and I don't need all the thanks. Suddenly, Gaara smiles sweetly and pats my head with his hand, "I'm glad then."
I can't take the situation anymore, my face is probably on fire now, so I usher him to continue walking towards the stage. It isn't long till we reach the rest of the group, thankfully my face had calmed down and no one really asks why we disappeared till now.
The area around the stage is pretty crowded already but more even people come up behind us. We decided not to try to move closer till the concert actually starts. The sun was especially low on the horizon now, that people began to pull out their glowsticks. "Only about fifteen minutes till the concert starts!", muses Hinata excitedly.
"Maybe we should move closer now?", asks Tenten looking around.
"I agree!", says Kiba energetically, "the concert is bound to be more exciting if we're closer to the stage." In the end we do start moving forward subtly so people don't get mad at us. By the time were decently in the front of the crowd but too much to be squashed against the stage, music begins and lights start to shine.
The crowd begins to cheer loudly when suddenly Miku appears on stage and sings the first song. It was song I heard before and even seen her practice. Whenever she came toward us in the crowd I subconsciously made sure to shift behind someone else so she would see my face. Of course it probably looked like I was dancing to the song, just really badly. The song finishes and Miku heads back stage again. Suddenly two familiar face appear and music starts once again.
I wasn't prepared for them to come out so quickly, that I feel that Len noticed me in the crowd while he was waving to anyone. If he did, it didn't appear to much on his face. All of sudden Rin runs off stage and Len begins a solo, I definitely feel that he was looking right at me that there was no use in trying to hide anymore. He finishes and then leaves the stage as well. I feel a weight lift off my shoulders, 'I'm sure he saw me just now and he didn't seem upset! So I'm just going to enjoy the concert with my friends!', I think happily finally smiling, 'gosh, I was worried for nothing.' I feel a weird sensation on the side of my head, like was someone was starring at me, I turn and see Sasuke looking at me, but it seems like he was just looking in my general direction and not at me specifically. 'Geez, calm down (y/n).'
Miku comes out again and performs a couple songs before surrendering the stage to another member of Vocaloid. The concert was very fun and it seems that everyone enjoyed their selves during the performances. Sooner than expected, the concert is over and the crowd is screaming for an encore. Which actually happens and a song is performed by every member all together. "That was so awesome!", exclaimed Hinata, totally ecstatic. We all hum in agreement, everyone a little tired after a long day. I especially feel exhausted remember the upcoming play. 'Kakashi-sensei is going to be furious we all went out instead of preparing for the play', I think to myself eerily. Everyone practically rushed out of the venue area, probably trying to beat the rest of the cars to the exit, to not get stuck in traffic as it was Monday tomorrow. There were a couple people here and there but they weren't extreme fans of Miku so I was safe to walk around. Some stalls were still trying to sell things before packing everything up to leave. All of a sudden a large man that looked to be a stage crew member came up to me.
"Excuse me, miss", he said pretty matter of factly, "you're going to have to come with me." I guess he could tell I wasn't so eager to go along with him God knows where, that he decides to grab me by the wrist and just drag me there. I was about to shout for help, when all of sudden a hand forces the man to let go of me and pushes me behind them.
"Just what do you think you're doing?", asks Sasuke angrily. I'm surprised to see him, I didn't even know he was nearby.
The man sighs, annoyed, "This doesn't concern you kid, get out of the way." He speaks into what seems to be a headset asking for assistance.
Sasuke takes my hand, but keeps me close behind him. Probably to make sure, no one suddenly grabs me from behind. I blush, even in this situation, because I can't help but notice how warm his hand is. My heart beats faster. I tell myself that it's because of the gravity of the situation, but it can very much be due to the close proximity between Sasuke and I. "I'm not letting you take her anywhere," Sasuke says haughtily, which only seems to annoy the man even more.
'Why the heck is this even happening right now?', I think to myself, 'couldn't we just go home peacefully!? My God!'
