Dear Friends,
This section is subject to evolve since I love to make recipes and offerings to Krishna. I am especially adding this section because there are many interested in some of the offerings I have given to Krishna. And I offer this book and this profound bhakti journey to my daughter Mayari, Krishna, Vaishnavi Vani Mataji, our Bhakti group and all the adorable children devotees running around, and Wattpad where I began these stories. See you soon at satsang.

Love,

Jal Jeerita 1
Jal Jeera Masala, 1 tbs Jaggary, 1 lime, 1 liter fresh spring mountain water

The first offerings I brought for Krishna to our bhakti group was two renditions of the beverage Jal Jeera. I had actually never made Jal Jeera before, but I was curious to try these spices from MDH a local brand of India spices. I like very much their Masala spices for chai, so I was eager to try making this for prasadam. I asked for some one to help me pray for it and offer it to Krishna properly. Alternatively, it's even better to make your own masala spices, so you may add your own to these recipes I created that are very simple.

The first jal jeera I made was a very mild and classical one with a little bit of the jal jeera masala, jaggary, and lime in a liter of fresh spring Swiss mountain water. I let the spices out for those who wanted it stronger. I was not able to add mint, but you can to make a traditional jal jeera with mint from what I found in my online research. I would love to know your jal jeera recipe.

Jal Jeerita 2
Jal Jeera Masala, 1 tbs jaggary, 1 liter Almond milk fresh or store bought, Fresh spring mountain water

The second jal jeera like beverage I created was with almond milk. I remembered how delcious the masala spices tasted with the chai I would make with this spice brand, which is what inspired this drink. With the store bought almond milk (or fresh almond milk), I added jaggary, and a little of the jal jeera masala. That's all for the two holy bevarages I offered along with the clementines, bananas, and dates. As the drinks began to lessen, I replenished them with the fresh water. This worked well with the almond milk actually as it was a very strong and dense almond milk.

Refreshing Floral Waters
Rose water, Kewra water, jaggary, frozen raspberries, fresh spring mountain water

The second offering I brought were just these simple refreshing waters because I was on the go that evening. I love these simple recipes, I drink them often.

Recipe 1
Add to one liter of fresh spring mountain water 1 tbs rose water or to your taste and 1 tbs jaggary. I added organic frozen raspberries to make it extra fresh.

Recipe 2
Add to one liter of fresh spring mountain water 1 tbs kewra water or to your taste, and 1 tbs jaggary. This recipe is basically the same as the first, but with kewra water. Kewra water is made from a plant called pandan. I added the frozen raspberries, for next time I would serve it better with cucumber or something green to give it a better indication. In general, you can be really creative with these floral waters. As usual our blessed matajis have helped me to offer it to Krishna until I learn the prayers correctly.

Krishna Kucumber Green Salad
Cucumbers, Carrots, Green Leafy Salad, Lemon, Tumeric, Salt, Pepper

I never thought I would look at cucumbers in a new light, but cooking in my mataji's Vaishnavi Vani's Hare Krishna kitchen has evolved me into new dimensions. I experienced how to completely begin the offering through the creation process. This is different from what I am used to, I usually invoke love and gratitude while the creation process. This process I felt is similar, but truly on a 'higher' or 'different' frequency, especially from my holy chaosmos style*. I was also singing holy songs, so that was very fun and new.

After all the cooked dishes were finished, Vaishnavi and her daughter offered the food to the beautiful Hare Krishna altar. Very moving and beautiful! Cucumber, carrots, sambar, and upma transcending! Incredible! For myself, I really felt the difference in the beginning intently offering my food to Krishna sincerely. So, of course I suggest you try if you are curious of Hare Krishna and for devotees order of our mataji Vaishnavi to always offer our food.

Create the salad according to the numbers that are being served. We had about 4 bushels of leafy greens, about 5 cucumbers, 10 carrots, and the juice of 1 lemon. First cut the cucumbers and carrots. I peel the cucumbers with quarter stripes left of them for a decorative green edge. I diced the cucumbers and carrots at a good size. Remember, there are always devotees of all ages eating so cutting these first two veggies in the best sizes. Next add the a generous amount of salt (I added a little over 1 1/2 tsp), 1/2 tsp pepper, 1 tbs tumeric, and the juice of 1 lemon. Stir the cucumbers and the carrots all around, the salt helps to extract the juices of the vegetables.

Next gently cut or tear the leafy greens. I made a combination of both, again easier for devotees of all ages especially the young ones. Put the greens on top of the cucumbers and carrots, so that when it will be served later the leaves will stay fresh and not be bruises. Upon serving mix the salad so that all will be entwined and fresh with the juices of the veggies on the bottom.

So, this is my section evolving of recipes. Thank you so much for your interest. I hope you have enjoyed my offerings to Krishna! Haribol!
