Chapter Six

After finishing training, an alert from the satellite showed a large quantity of dark matter at Central City Mall. I knew it was a meta-human. 

"Skyler, you have to get out there. Central City mall is being attacked, you need to go now." Dr. Wells yelled. 

"Wait!" Cisco yelled running out from his workshop. "I took the time to make these cuffs, when you get him you can cuff him, they will dampen his powers." Cisco yelled, I grabbed them and ran. 

"Okay guys i'm here, talk me through this!" I yelled through the coms. 

"Okay Skyler," Dr. Wells said, "Run around him and make him dizzy, then cuff him." 

"Okay," I said and ran in circles around him

"I cuffed him!" I exclaimed through the coms. 

"Thank you," said Joe looking at me from behind with the meta-human in his hands. 

"Just doing my job, detective." I smiled and ran back to S.T.A.R Labs. When I got there Cisco ran up and hugged me and smiled. "Dude that was awesome, go team flash!" he yelled making me laugh. 

"That was quite the catch miss. Allen," Dr. Wells said smiling walking out of the med bay with Caitlin. 

"You saved a lot of people today Sky, keep it up!" Caitlin said smiling

 "Thanks guys...i'm going to swing by CCPD to drop off some case files. I'll see you guys later." I smiled walking past Harrison grabbing my bag.

"Bye Dr. Wells." I said smirking at him making him blush an stare at the floor. 

"Bye Miss. Allen." 

*Cisco's P.O.V.* 

As Dr. Wells walked into his office I met Caitlin in the Cortex. 

"He likes her." I said blunt 

"What? Who? " Caitlin asked looking up from her computer. 

"Dr. Wells and Skyler. Don't you see? He feels something for her." 

"Dr. Wells only said goodbye to Skyler though?" 

"Didn't you see when Sky said bye to him, he looked down and blushed! That has to mean something." I insisted 

"He's most likely just being friendly to her." 

"Think whatever you want Caitlin, but when they get hot and heavy in the lab i'll have the right to say 'I told you so'!" I laughed 

"Oh my god, Cisco stop! Dr. Wells can most likely hear you." Caitlin laughed

*Skyler's P.O.V* 

As I dropped off old paperwork and got the new files from Singh my phone went off to signal a meta-human had been attacking at Center City bank. I raced down to see a man, but he changed into gas. I had put my com in so Harri-Dr. Wells and Cisco so they could help me through this. 

"Skyler, you have to run around him. Confuse him, make him get tired of changing forms, but you can't breath... if you do and get that gas into your lungs you could get hurt! " Dr. Wells said into the coms.

I ran around him trying to hold my breath, but before I was able to put the cuffs on him I took a deep breath and proceed to  put the cuffs on him. I ran from the bank into STAR Labs gasping for air. 

"Guys she needs air NOW! Cisco get the oxygen, Caitlin help me move her to the med bay." Dr. Wells said limping over to help Caitlin bring me into the med bay. 

*2 hours later* 

I could get air. I could breath without struggle. As I slowly tried to sit up I seen Caitlin in the room beside me checking my vitals. 

"Hey, back from the dead are we?" Caitlin asked smiling 

"I died!" 

"Yes, for a moment but we were able to use CPR and removed the toxic gas from your lungs. I'm just glad your okay. I'll let Dr. Wells know your okay." She hugged me and walked away.

 As I sat up I saw someone leaning up against the door frame. 

"I'd be careful Miss. Allen, here let me help." Dr. Wells said walking over to the table helping me sit up. 

"Deja vu, huh." I laughed

"Oh yeah, when you used me as a landing pad... I remember." he laughed resting his hands on my knees. 

"Hey!" I slapped him lightly, "It wasn't my fault! I got dizzy and fell." I smiled 

"I know, and I'm glad you're okay though. Anyways how are you doing?" he asked me looking down at my knees then up at me. 

"I'm feeling alive so that's a plus, and where are Cisco and Caitlin at?" I asked 

"I don't know, I think they went home for the night." 

"So... It's just you and me?" I asked 

"It appears so, but how does this benefit you Miss. Allen?" he smirk leaning closer to me. 

"Well, that's for me to know and for you to dot,dot,dot." 

"Huh, well..." he hummed "I guess we'll have to do this the hard way." he said picking me up and pushing me against the wall beside the door frame "We shouldn't do this." I whispered as he kissed my neck. 

"Well Miss. Allen, we shouldn't do a lot of things, yet we do them anyways." he whispered in my ear
