I stand in the doorway not knowing what to do. I want to say something but nothing comes.
She still cries in front of me. I don't want to look but we both know what he has done. I wanted to cry and rage in anger at that moment. But still nothing shows on my face.
She walks out of the room and I go to follow her.
"What did he tell you?" I ask and yell at the same time as I try to catch up to her. She's still in silence.
She walks past the camp office. I had no idea where she was going at this point.
I see the sandy shore and get a hint, "Why are we going here?" I ask more quietly now that I've caught up to her.
I look at her eyes to see if she was still crying. Her eyes were still red but I saw no tears.
We reach the edge of the lake where the water hits our feet.
"Hey!" I yell now, "why are we here?....don't you want my side of the story? Huh?"
I wait for an answer but expect nothing.
I sit down in the sand and decide I might as well give it to her.
"He kissed me," I can tell her eyes widen at the thought, "he tried to drown me. I didn't want to tell you, because he was going to go after my friends so I had no choice."
Silvia stares off into the distance of the lake like she was looking for something.
I continue, "and I know how you must feel. Trust me, I'm feeling the same way. I don't think you under stand.....he tried to kill me. I mean, in other reasons, he was trying to protect you."
Silvia turns around and looks at me with tears that come back into play. She brings herself to sit down right next to me and sobs. I wasn't sure if I should put my arm around her or not, but it seemed like the right thing to do, so I did.
We sit in silence for a little while, mostly because she was still crying and also cause I had nothing to say.
I stand up as she did too. We don't speak another word to each other on the way up to the camp office.
The camp cafeteria has multiple windows that overlook the water. We both look into them as we walk by. Silvia sees something. She gasps and stops in her tracks. She whispers, "Run."
"Wait, what--"
"Just run!" She yells.
Taking her words for it, I run as fast as I can into the woods. I don't even bother to hide in the cabin. I run for a while, and finally ask myself why was I running?
I turn around to find no one chasing me.
I look for another minute to make sure.
Suddenly, I see a person running toward me. I didn't know who it was but whoever it was was tall enough to be a man.
I turn around and run too quickly and suddenly trip over something hard and hit my head on what felt like a rock protruding from the ground. It hits the near right side of my head. I wasn't sure if I was bleeding, but I knew something was wrong. My eyes went all blurry and starry, and my fingers and legs trembled.
Though everything was blurry, I make out a man who comes closer to my body. I also make out dark hair and a white face. I know exactly who it is, and think to myself oh no, not again!
I try not to look directly at him as he edges forward toward my face. As my eyes shut I see everything go black. I wasn't sure if I was dead or just wanted to fall asleep for a little while.
My mind is in a state of mind where it cannot be awoken. I know my ears are still working and I suddenly feel my weight being lifted off the ground.
I feel my arms dangling at my side as someone holds me. The very last thing I remember is the pacing feet and heavy breathing of a powerful man with a strong grip. The back of my neck and my legs are the only things being held by these muscular hands. The same hands that tried to kill me.
