"Wait, please I have to pee again,"
Daniel rolled his eyes but he pulled over on the side of the road. I raised my eyebrows at him.
"Oh, don't be all high maintenance now, we are not far out and there's no way you're gonna wanna go when we get there, besides you have to drink this bottle before we get there."
The bottle seemed as if it were staring back at me.
"Holy water?"
"Holy water."
Nodding, I stepped out of the car, motioning him to turn his head away, Noah was asleep in the back seat so there was no worry there. My feet sunk into the mud from where I stepped and the inside of my shoes were getting wet. I unbuckled my pants and turned to make sure his head was turned. Daniel was looking right at me.
"Daniel!"
He rolled his eyes again but turned his head. I stopped for a second to study him. He has a strong jaw and thin lips but they look soft. He cleared his throat and I remembered what I was supposed to be doing. Quickly I pulled down my pants and went. When I was done I pulled up my pants and turned to get back in the car. I caught a glimpse of his face looking at me and turned red from embarrassment. I climbed inside where Daniel immediately shoved the bottle of water in my hand and started to drive. I stared at it like a foreign object. He cleared his throat.
"Drink up and you can sleep until we get there."
The sky was dark and from what I could see from the beam of the headlights the only thing for miles around is fields.
"You're safe here."
I sighed and take a big drink.
"Here goes."
*************
When I woke up the sky was light and my stomach was cramping. Daniel didn't look at me but he seemed concerned. Noah on the other hand was practically jumping into the front seat with me as soon as he saw the look on my face.
"Are you okay?"
I nodded my head and smiled softly.
"I'm fine," I punched him in the arm, "what do you put in that freaking holy water? It gets me every time!"
He rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"Oh I don't know, a little bit of holy and a whole lot of water, you know, the normal."
He smiled dramatically and shrugs.
"Must be a monster."
I laughed and rubbed my stomach.
"Then you must be a monster cause you put him there."
Suddenly Daniel cut in.
"Him?"
I shrugged at him. "Oh, you know I don't know, but it feels like a him to me."
