Simon let his control slip. He couldn't handle this anymore. He started by chucking his pillows off his bed, one by one.

"Hey Jace?"

"Yes, gorgeous." Jace replied, running his fingers through Simon's hair. If he had a heart, it would've skipped a beat. The way Jace massaged his scalp gently had him wanting to somehow lean more into him than he already was. And the way he said 'gorgeous' had Simon shuddering in his skin. Dammit, he was in love with Jace

Simon stormed over to the other side of his bedroom and pushed everything off in one sweep of his arm

"Can I um- Can I... ask you something? I want you to answer me completely honestly."

"Yes, always. Why? What's wrong?" Simon could hear the hint of concern in Jace's voice. He lifted his head off Jace's chest to look at his face. He reached out one hand, and cupped the Shadowhunter's face, stubble tickling his fingers. He stroked the pad of his thumb over Jace's cheek and the latter shivered, turning his head and pressing his lips to Simon's palm

Simon practically ran into the bathroom, yanking the shower curtain down. He punched the tiled walls until his knuckles cracked and bled

"Are you addicted to my venom?" Simon asked  bluntly

"Addicted?" Jace echoed, "No, of course not." Simon huffed

Simon looked at himself in the mirror. He saw the rage in his own eyes. Im a monster he thought, another bloody tear dripping down his face, staining his pale skin red in its wake

"Tell me the truth, Jace."

"I am!"

"Then what exactly does this mean to you?" Simon snapped snatching his hand off Jace's face and gesturing between them

"Simon, I-" Jace cut himself off with a sigh. He had almost sounded... sad. Simon's heart dropped. Why was Jace sad?

"You what, Jace?" Simon gritted out through his teeth

"I didn't mean for this to happen."

Simon didn't even cry out as his throbbing hand made contact with the bathroom mirror, shards of glass exploding around him. The last thing Simon saw was his own blood dripping slowly down the wall before darkness clouded his vision

[A/N] Hey. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, as always. Sorry this one is shorter, but I felt like ending it here. I like the fact I made Jace vulnerable and sad, and Simon angry and reckless because it really shows that stereotypes don't matter. I'm really struggling with writing these chapters. I struggle when I actually need to write but I have amazing ideas and inspiration when I'm busy or don't have access to my phone 😂 it's kind of frustrating. Anyway, Happy reading ;)
