"Stop moping around," Alec said, poking Jace in the chest, "And go sort whatever this is out." He gestured expressively

So Jace went to do just that

"Simon!" Jace basically screamed, as he banged his fist on Simon's door. He paused. Nothing. He knocked again. "Simon, please! Please just talk to me!" It was almost like Simon had disappeared. "Okay, that's it. I'm kicking this door down!" Jace thought this would work, as Simon would usually make a snarky comment. Worry rose in Jace's chest. What if Simon was hurt? "Okay! I'm coming in! Three..." He set his feet "Two..." He braced himself "One" Jace pushed his leg forward at full force, worry driving him harder. After about three of these kicks, the door broke at it's hinges and fell backwards into Simon's apartment.

Jace walked into Simon's living room slowly, examining every square inch. It was dead silent. "Simon! I'm sorry, please talk to me!" He wandered further into the apartment. The hallway was trashed. Jace's stomach fluttered what if someone had broken in? Is Simon okay? He panicked further when he saw blood staining Simon's door in a handprint. He twisted the doorknob slowly, hoping that this is not what he thinks it is. He pushed the door open...

"Simon!" Jace exclaimed. He raced over to the vampire's unconscious body. Well, at least he hoped he was unconscious. His hand automatically raced to Simon's neck, feeling for a pulse, before he remembered Simon didn't have a pulse. How was he supposed to know if Simon was dead? Realisation hit him almost instantly. He'd done this so many times, but this time it really counted. He felt like he was back on the boat again, Simon unconscious and the weight of his blade in his pocket. He pulled it out slowly and pushed his jacket up his arm. He closed his eyes as his blade sliced across his arm. He welcomed the sting like an old friend. The blonde lowered his arm towards Simon's face and let blood drip into his mouth.

Simon's fangs snapped out. Jace relaxed. Simon was still alive. Jace pushed his arm into Simon's mouth. The vampire slowly clamped his fangs into his arm and began to drink. "Oh thank god, Simon! I was so scared." He forced out through his clenched jaw. A spike of pleasure shot through his arm and he groaned. Simon's hands reached up and clamped around his arm, pining it in place. Jace watched as Simon's pupils expanded, covering most of the gorgeous brown. It was breathtaking. He tried to breathe deeply when his vision started to blur. "Simon." The vampire snapped back to reality. Realising what he was doing, his eyes widened and he reluctantly pushed Jace's arm out of his mouth...
