Jiwoo's POV

[Continued the flashback]

'Him'. The one who wanted to protect me, the one who changed my life, the one who makes my heart hurt from beating too fast. He is every girls' boyfriend type. He always have that sweet smile on his face. He helps people, good in studies, an athelic, friendly and a happy virus. That's what I heard from people, actually.

That day, I never talk with him until I slipped and fell to the floor. He was the one who helped me to stand. He also handed me his handkerchief and fixed my hair with that sweet smile on his face.

"Are you alright? Please be careful next time. You can keep that if you want."

The first conversation we had but I ended up didn't let any words came out from my mouth then he just left like that. I'm being honest, I regreted that big chance. Stupid me.

Weeks passed, I always saw him at school but didn't made it to hand him back his handkerchief, plus actually I'm shy to start the conversation or talk to him. I was waiting for bus while looking at his handkerchief, sighed deeply. Suddenly, I heard a voice. I turned my head towards the voice.

"Oh yeah. We'll made it, bro. Wait for me, okay?" he was on phone perhaps with his friend. He then hung up and kept it inside his pocket. Suddenly, we made an eye contact for quite long.

"Annyeong." he waves at me. I didn't know what to do so I handed him his own handkerchief with my head looking on the ground.

"Hmm?" he didn't remembered me...

"Y-you-yours." he took the handkerchief, still had no clue. I looked up at him, he examined it. Then, we made an eye contact for the second time.

"Ohhh. It's you. The one who had a little accident at the cafeteria, right?"

"Y-yes. You still remember me? hehe" I let out a soft laugh.

"Of course. I remember you. Are you alright about the accident?"

"Er.. yes. I'm fine." I tried myself not to squirm a lot and not nervous.

"Have you apply medicine or any lotion?"

"No. There's no bruises anywhere so it's okay."

"But... what is that on your knee? That purple black thing."

"Errr... I'm.. it's a birthmark." wow Choi Jiwoo. That's CLEVER.

"Your birthmark's colour purple blackish?" he chuckled.

We then rode the same bus. He was sitting the most front row while me sitting right next to the window at the middle row. I can see everything he did from here. He looks so perfecrly amazing like brushed his hair away, the way he streched, he supported his chin with his palm. He looks perfect in everything he did.

When my location arrived, I got down from the bus and turned my back to see him. He was waving at me with sweet smile on his face. I just nodded and turned back. I sighed as I was thinking to go home right now. My step became heavier than before. If my step parents wasn't home, it will be my luckiest day. The door knob turned as I arrived in front of my house. My step-father was holding his black belt with another hand on his waist, his face all red. He drunk for sure.

"WHY WERE YOU LATE?! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" I was late for about 7 minutes...

"I... I'm sorry- ACK?!" I felt to the floor, he used his belt to slap me.

"YOU USELESS CHILD ALWAYS MADE UP A FUCKING STUPID EXCUSE." he slapped me again. I can feel my skin almost tear off.

"I'm sorry, sir. I'm promise to come home right away next tim- ACK!" he slapped me again but this twice.
