Kurapika's POV
"I'm leaving now. Yuzuki and Karin will be here any minute."
"I'll be sure to make them feel at home and I'll take care of everything while you're gone. Leave it to me," I said.
"Thanks," Mayumi muttered, then left.
Moments later I heard a knock on the door.
I closed the book that I was reading and went to open it.
Yuzuki and Karin immediately went in.
"Hi, Kurapika! Mayumi texted us saying that she'll be gone for a photo shoot. That means you're left to take care of the house, huh?" Karin joked. Karin and Yuzuki already know why I'm staying here since Mayumi apparently doesn't want to keep any secrets from them.
"Yes, and I will be your host, too," I added, playing along.
Karin giggled as Yuzuki made her way to the DVDs that were kept near the television. "Well, why don't we watch a movie?" Yuzuki suggested, perusing the titles. "Hmm...romantic comedy or action?" Yuzuki asked.
"It's up to you, girls," I said.
"RomCom!" Karin piped up.
They decided on watching Princess Diaries.
We were almost done with the movie when I heard another knock on the door.
Karin heard it also. "I'll get it!" She skipped to the door.
"That can't be Mayumi," I said, pausing the movie. "She always brings her keys."
Karin opened the door and we all saw a man that looked like he was in his forties standing outside.
He looks familiar....
"Good afternoon," he said, smiling. "I'm Mayumi's father. Are all of you her friends?"

Mayumi's POV
"Okay, I think we've got enough photos. Thank you!" they said.
"Thank you, too!" Manager M said as she shook their hands.
"Arigatou gozaimasu, minna!" I said, bowing.
As soon as they packed up I walked quickly to the dressing room then came out minutes later, wearing my plain shirt, black sweater, pants and boots.
I rushed back home. It's already 5:00pm, though.
When I arrived at my apartment door and listened, I heard no noise. If they were still there, I would have heard Karin's voice by now.
They must have left already.
I unlocked the door and I saw the person I least expected to be here.
"Hello, Mayumi."
Dad.
