2 years later.
My parents and I had moved house, we were now living in town where i go to school and I don't need a baby sitter. High school wasn't anywhere near as fun as I'd expected it to be. Making friends didn't come as naturally to me as I would have liked but that didn't seem to faze me.
I was only in school for a few weeks when I was confronted by a group of Danny's friends who bombarded me with questions about that night. It felt as if I was back at the police station again. The sirens still echoed in my mind as I shut my eyes to go to sleep. Time slowed down and yet I struggled to cope with everything going on all at once. I was forced into a police car in handcuffs as my parents stood mortified and in tears. The cuffs were tearing at my wrists with every step I took to the doors of the station. I was a number one suspect in the crime but I wasn't charged with anything which may have been due to my parents financial influence.
That morning my mom kissed me goodbye as I went off to school
"Bye," I called back
Buzz! Buzz! My phone was ringing
"Hello." I answered
" Nate it's me, jake." Jake was one of the members of a gang that Danny had been apart of - the Fawkes " meet me outside school in the park in 5."
"ok." I said as i got into my car.
I parked the car outside of school, i could see jake and jacob waiting for me. I walked over to the twins.
"So, what's up?" i said
"You know Dannys brother, Aiden." Jake started.
"He wanted to talk with you," Jacob finished
"what?" i asked
"we don't know." Jake said "he told us to give you this" Jacob handed me the note, it read:
I can't forget about Danny, we have to do something
Meet me at mine after school.
Aiden.
"why didn't he just tell me himself," i said "wasn't this whole note thing kinda pointless."
"Aidens not coming to school."
"Why n-" I was cut off by the sound of the second bell. The twins ran off before i could get anything out of them.
