Richie didn't leave the dorm building for days. He didn't want to admit that he'd been staring at Connor's note the whole time. He would walk past Connor's room and stare at the door, wondering if he should knock. He would always walk away, to the shared kitchen or the shower house. One day he laid on his bed, and pulled out paper. He shook his head and set it down.
All he could think about was how much he missed texting Eddie until 4 am. Or calling him as soon as he woke up. It was strange to know Eddie was a few rooms away. He knew his emotions would flood back in. He was right. Richie felt tears prick at the corners of his eyes. He remembered everything from the night he knocked on Eds's door. He pulled the letter out of his drawer, while reading it he picked the paper he'd grabbed earlier. He carefully folded his letter to Eddie and slipped it back into the otherwise empty drawer.
Richie wrote his number messily on the paper. He wrote "No feelings." Under it and then signs his name. He digs through Bill's drawers until he finds tape. He reorganizes everything and makes his way to Connors room, folding and taping the note to the door. He rests his face in his hands and then walks away.
As he walks away, he lifts his head up. Myra is standing by his door. "Uh, hello?". She swivels her head, and quickly asks "Are you Bill's roommate?" He nods. She then asks "You ever find the dorm you were looking for the other night?" He lies, and nods. "Not very talkative, are you?" Again, Richie nods. "Why're you at my door?" he asks plainly. She doesn't skip a beat before answering "Bill told my Eddiebear he was concerned about you so I offered to cook you something.
Richie glances at the chicken noodle soup she's carrying. "Thanks." He mutters. She looks at his face "What's your name anyways?" He sighs "Richard Tozier, or Richie I guess." Myra glares at the boy, shoving the soup at him. "See you around" he says weakly as she storms down the hallway. Richie walks into his room, grabbing a plastic spoon he'd stolen from a panda express. He ate his soup, watching John Mulaney on his laptop.
Suddenly, he felt his phone buzz. He picked it up, and found exactly what he wanted.

Hey, It's Connor
If your note was an offer...
Can't say I'm complaining.
Richie felt guilty, leaving Connor on read. He shouldn't want that. He knew he shouldn't. Eventually, Rich texted back, telling Connor that Bill wouldn't be home that night. He decided that if Eddie was dating Myra, he couldn't feel guilty for fucking around with Connor, what's the damage?
Richie and Connor texted on and off up until 9pm, when Richie claimed he'd be going to bed. He changed into a pair of boxer briefs and got into his bed. He as usual, watched the clock, but eventually he gave up, grabbing out his phone.
