Chapter 7

(Y/n)'s P.O.V.
I feel the sun rays falling on my face. I wince at the sudden light and I try to open my eyelids. I rub them so I can fully see and wake up. I stretch out and I sit up. I was on a bed? I guess I passed out after the entire bar fight thing. I look around and I see my dad and Sonic asleep. I swing my legs off the bed and I go to the restroom. After I come out I see Sonic up and awake. "Oh you're awake." Sonic said. "Yeah what happened yesterday?" I said. "Oh you passed out after the entire fight. And I was worried I thought you had died!" He exclaimed. "I'll never die on you. I have to stick with you because you are my friend." I said as I hugged him. Sonic then hugged back. We then pulled away after a while.

"Well gotta wake up dad so we can move on and retrieve your rings." I said as I petted Sonic before getting up. I then walked to where dad was. I shook him. "What?" He mumbles. "Dad come on wake up we need to head over to San Fransisco we can't loose track time." I told him softly. "Alright alright I'm waking up." He says as he stands up. I then go up to Sonic and 'awwww he looks so adorable he's so small' I think in my head.

I then begin to squeal quietly. "What?" Sonic asks. "You're so tiny and cute!" I squeal. "Aww come on!" Sonic pouts and he blushes. I then pick him up and carry him. "I'll be carrying you to the car." I said as I start heading to the car. "(Y/n) why do you have to make me feel I'm a child." Sonic asks still pouting. "Because you are one." I said. Dad then came out with the car keys and he opens the car. I open the door and I place Sonic in. I close the door and then I hop in on the backseat. Dad starts the engine and we head off to San Fransisco. "So what's on your bucket list?" Sonic asks dad. "What me?" Dad asks. "Yeah everyone a bucket list right!" Sonic says. "Sure but you're leaving earth and I'm not planning on dying soon." Dad says. I gasp out loud and I hug dad. "Don't leave me Papa!" I yell out.

"I'm still here (Y/N)." Dad said as he chuckled. "Oh ho don't be so sure. You're best friend here is a magnet for danger." Sonic says. I slowly let go of hugging dad. "Oh so now you're considering as the bestie? Well I mean look I like you course but like we're not best friends."Dad said. "You tucked me in last night." Sonic said. I lost it at that point. I began laughing. "I knew it! You are a child!" I yelled out. Sonic turned beet red after I said that.

"Hey hey it's ok you're my child." I said as I hugged Sonic. He hugged back. "Yeah sure
(Y/n)." He said then we pulled away. "All right lets get rid of this awkwardness. Ok bucket list! Give it to me!" Sonic said. "Ok there is one thing. In Green Hills I've always felt like I don't know I was a babysitter instead of a actual cop you know. So want a chance to prove myself. Under real pressure. I'm gonna move to San Fransisco with (Y/n). Become a street cop. See if I have what it takes." Dad says. I look over at Sonic and he has a shock expression. "Why is you're face doing that?" Dad asked. "You're leaving Green Hills!" Sonic exclaims. "Ok." Dad said. "B-But why?! Why would you leave Green Hills?!" Sonic exclaims. "Look this May be hard for you to understand but Green Hills is a small town." Dad explains to him. "It's not a small town filled with hundreds of people!" Sonic exclaims. "That's a small town dude." Dad says.

I just sit back and I ignore what's going on. I hate it when people fight. "Its a perfect town and the people need you!" Sonic yells. "Please I clean out their gutters and jumpstart their cars during the winter they can call anybody for that." Dad says. "Sure they can call anyone but they call you!" Sonic says. I just sigh "guys please don't fight." I say. But they just ignored me. I then look behind the car and I see a car that looks like Dr. Robotniks. "You're not making any sense!" Sonic yells. "Okay can you calm down?" Dad says. "Guys..." I warm them but they don't hear me. "You're coming from a great town with great people and from my accounts there are bad guys trying to kill you!" Sonic exclaims. "Besides what's more important than protecting the people you care about,like (Y/n)." Sonic says. Dad then gets into a deep thought after sonic said that.

"GUYS WOULD YOU PLEASE LISTEN TO-" I get cut off as I felt something cut my cheek and it sticks into the car. I put my hand over my cheek and i feel a slight cut on it. I look at my hand and my fingers have blood on them. "(Y/N) ARE YOU OK HONEY?!" Dad asks. "Y-Yeah I'm fine it's just a small cut." I say. Suddenly the car feels like it's being pulled back. "You know what I was wrong about you! You're not the Donut Lord you're more like the Jerk Lord!" Sonic yells. "Have you noticed the harpoon stock in the truck?!" Dad yells. Dad tries to get rid of the harpoon but he crashes to the side. Sonic then gets thrown off his seat and he gets thrown onto the wind shield. "SONIC!" Both me and dad yell out. I look at him with fear in my eyes. "I was forced away from my home. Your home is perfect and you're leaving it! Why would you do that?!" Sonic exclaims as his body then gets all bright blue and flow with electricity.

"You-You're body?" Dad stuttered. "Oh no not again!" Sonic exclaims. "Hold on tight!" Dad yells. "Why?!" Sonic exclaims. "To do this!" Dad yells as he steps on the brakes. It sends Sonic flying and the harpoon gets out. Sonic then turns into a ball and he crashed into dr robotniks car. Dad then turns the car around. "Sonic!" I yell out. I then see him get out of his ball form and he begins to cheer and dance. "How are you not dead!" Dad yelled. "I have no idea!" Sonic exclaimed. Then suddenly another car got out of that car. "Sonic get back into the car!" Dad yelled. "Don't worry you go on ahead I'll catch up!" Sonic yells. Dad then turns the car the other way and he begins to drive away. Sonic then came back running he made it to his seat. I look back and I see the car getting near us. It then summons a launcher and it throws something in our direction.

"Incoming!" Sonic yelled. Dad then pulled over to the side. Sonic then came and sat next to me looking out. He then gets out and gets into the back of the truck. "What are you doing?" Dad asked. "Just drive the car I'll take care of this. And if I don't make it out then ditch me you seem good at that." Sonic said. "Sonic wait!" I called out. "Yes
(Y/n)?" He asked. I motioned him to come to me. He then came my way and stood in front of me. I then leaned in and kissed his cheek. "Be careful okay I don't want you to see you get hurt." I said to him. He just smiled at me and he kissed my cheek too. "No problem (N/N) I'll save the day!" He exclaimed. I'm guessing he got way too cocky after that kiss. I giggled and he went into action. He made the little devices all go in different directions avoiding our car. He then got one of them and he sticks it inside the robot making it go haywire. He then came back and he engulfed me in a tight hug. "I did it (Y/n)!" He exclaimed. I giggled at him and I snuggled onto him. 'He is so soft!' I think in my head.

But then we see another robot get out on one wheel. But then is sticks out some sharp things out of itself. "Umm we have another problem!" I exclaimed as I separated from the hug. "Sonic! Come here and drive the car keep us going straight, I'll handle this!" Dad said. He then grabbed a flashlight that was there and used it as a weapon. "I can't hit it! You have to bring the car closer!" Dad yelled to Sonic. "Hit the breaks Sonic!" I exclaim. "You mean this one?" He said as he pressed the gas pedal and we go faster. "No the other ones!" I say. He then pressed The breaks and dad hits the robot. "Great job dad!" I said. He then went back to the drivers seat.

Suddenly a small robot flying comes up. "Awww this one's small lets keep it." Sonic said. But then it started shoot it's lazer and it was going around the roof of the car.
"Dad we have car insurance right?" I asked. Then the roof came off completely. Sonic then grabs the tiny robot and dismantles it. "Buzz off." He said but the head price didn't come off it it was a bomb! "Can't you take it off or throw it out?" I asked. "I'm trying!" Sonic said waving his hand around by it didn't come off. "Dad pull over now!" I exclaim. "Alright!" He exclaimed. He then pulls over to a field. Sonic got off trying to take the thing off. Finally it wasn't on his hand. "Did I get it?" He said. But the bomb was on his forehead. "Nope still on your head." I pointed. Dad went up to him with a cloth and took off the bomb throwing it away from us. "It's going! It's going it's still here." Sonic said. The bomb was ticking faster meaning it was about to explode.

Sonic got the bomb and he grabbed a stick as he took the bomb off successfully. "Haha nailed it!" Sonic exclaimed. But then the bomb went off and it exploded and Sonic got knocked out. "SONIC!" I yell out. The smoke gets out and I can see Sonic on the floor. I then ran to him and his body. "Hey come on. Wake up. Don't die on me." I said with sadness in my voice as tears were forcing to come out. I lean in to check for a heart beat. I hear it go very fast. "Dad we're near mom let's take him to her!" I exclaimed. My mom's a veterinarian so she might know what's wrong with him. I then pick up sonic carefully. We then walked over to the truck and got in. I hug his body closer to mine. "Come Sonic you cant give up yet." I mumbled as i kissed his forehead.
