Chapter 2

(Y/n)'s P.O.V
I got out of the public bus as it dropped me off near my home. I see our driveway and I see my dad's car there. 'Guess he's already here' I thought to myself. I get my keys out and open the door.

As soon as I walk in I see mom and dad looking at each other with happiness in their eyes. I close the door and looked at them. "So are y'all gonna fill me in or are you going to keep it as a secret from me?" I asked as I hugged them both.

"Well (Y/n) do you remember when I applied for the job at San Fransisco?" Dad asked. I then gasp as I knew what he was gonna say. "Don't tell me did you got the job?!" I ask him excitedly. He nods his head. I squeal with happiness as I ran to hug dad. "You see this is why I want to be a cop too! I want to end up just like you! So big and buff and strong and fearless!" I say out loud.

"Sweetie I'm sure your daddy ain't buff I mean just watch." Mom says as she casually walks over dad.Dad looks at her confused. She then reaches his sides and tickles him. He begins to laugh and wheeze since that's his tickle spot. I burst out laughing at my parents goofiness.

Then they dad picks me up and pulls me over his shoulders I squeal out loud. "Dad!!! Put me down!!!" I yell. He then sets me down on the couch as he sits next to me and my mom then comes over to sit next to me. I sigh as I hug both of them.

"I'm glad I have you both." I say. That's when I felt dad tense up. I then hear him clear his throat. "Well honey since I got the job it means we have to move to San Fransisco." He says calmly. "And your mother has decided to go look for houses to rent at San Francisco so today she'll leave but I'll stay here to watch over you." Dad says. I sigh "I understand just be careful out there mom please." I ask her as I hold her hands in mine.

She just smiles at me "I'll be safe don't worry my sister will be there too so I won't be alone." She says as she kisses my forehead. I smile at her. "Well now you go run along now it's time for bed." She says as she hugs me. "Yup even if you don't have school tomorrow you should get some sleep and tomorrow I was wondering if you want to help me pack up?" Dad asks as he ruffles my hair. I nod my head. "Sure we gotta have things ready." I say as I kiss both of them on the cheek.

"Goodnight Dad, Goodbye mom I'll call you when you have the chance". I said as I head to my room. I enter my room and I change into my pjs. I look out the window and sigh as I open the window and call out. "Goodnight Green Hills". I then close my windows and i then saw a blue blur go bye. I run my eyes to see if it was real. Eh guess I'm tired that I started imagining things. I turn away and I get in my bed as I go to sleep.

*The next morning*
I wake up the next day as I change into some more decent clothes. I then go downstairs to see dad there packing up some of his stuff. "Oh hey honey wanna start helping me open these boxes to put in some of our stuff inside?" Dad asks. I nod as I walk over to him. I began to help him pack away our stuff.

Sonic's P.O.V
I walk outside my cave to see if there's a anything going on in Green Hills today. As I ran near a park I saw a baseball game going on. "Woah the play offs" I stare at it in awe. I then ran under the seats as I stay hidden and I watch the game from there.

I see the pitcher throws the ball and the batter hits the ball. It goes  far away and it flies over the gate. The batter drops his bat and begins to run around the bases. He makes it to the home base and everyone starts cheering. The team goes up to him and they congratulate him

I stare at them in awe. I wish I could do that. Have friends support me and be there for me. I wait till everyone leaves so I can go onto the baseball field. The final car leaves and the lights turn on to illuminate the baseball field.

I walk to the baseball field and I stare around seeing how it is. I then see the baseball bats and I get an idea. I then got a baseball bat and pretended that this was a real baseball game. As the pitcher threw the ball I hit it and it went far away. "I got it! I got it!"I said as I fell to the ground. "I don't got it." I said as I quickly changed spots and I dropped the bat.

I begin to run as I try to get to home base. I change again as I get the ball throwing it at 'my' direction. I dodged it from hitting me. I keep on running as one of my 'teammates' yell out "Go home! Go home!"

I then continued running before the ball touched me. I leaped out and I touch the home base. "Safe!" Yells out the 'referee'. I then get up. "Yes!Yes!Yes!Yes! I did it! Did you see that? I did it! Guys I did it!" I yell out excitedly but it soon fades away as I remember it was all fake.

I turn and look around to see nobody in the seats. I sigh to myself as I hung my head. "I really am alone. All alone forever." I say to myself as I took off the helmet and i begin to run. I used my speed to start running around the bases. I keep on running with fear and loneliness that I was trying to escape from. I couldn't hold it in longer. I then felt a powerful surge inside of me. "AAAHHHHH!"

(Y/n)'s P.O.V.
I was on my bed peacefully reading a book. After we finished packing up our stuff Dad went to go out to his 'speed trap' duty was he calls it. But that was before and he's here now. Well technically he's downstairs checking his bills and letters he got. I was finally able to have some alone time.

All of a sudden the lights flickered and they turned off. "Uh oh that's not good ." I say. I then get up from my bed as I open my door to see what happened as I went down the hallway. But then my dad rushed to me. "(Y/n)! Are you ok!" He said. "Yeah dad I'm fine. What happened?" I asked him. "I don't know but all I know is that the power went out. Don't worry about it you should go get some sleep I'll deal with this." He says reassuringly. I then kissed his cheek "ok goodnight dad love you!" I say as I went back to my room. But why do I get a feeling that something had occurred this. Eh it's probably just the power poles. I then drift off to sleep.

Sonic's P.O.V
"I'm sure nobody noticed that big blue explosion right?"
