A/N Ok, so I skipped some time to make this chapter make sense. I'm sorry that this chapter is EXTREMELY LATE but hey, I'm a busy girl. Anyways, i hope you enjoy! :D

Ah, the beautiful snow, the pretty lights, the smell of chestnuts, I just love winter! As I come downstairs to bundle up in blankets, I look out the window and see to my surprise Preston walking up to my door, all bundled up with his winter gear. Knock knock. That's Preston alright. I run over to the door and open. "Good morning" I kiss him on the cheek. "What are you doing here? Don't get me wrong, I like it, but what's the occasion?" He smiles. "Silly goose, it's Christmas!" WHAT?! ALREADY?! "Really?! I thought that was tomorrow!" Where is mom then? "Get dressed, you're coming over to my place for Christmas" Well, that'll be much better than being here alone on Christmas. I just wish mom was here. "Alright, just give me a minute. In the meantime, you can come and sit on the couch while you wait" I open the door and he walks inside. "Thank you, Sky" I smile at him. "Of course"

Once I'm ready to go, we both walk out of the door, hand in hand. "So, are you excited?" Well, not as much as I should be. "Um, not exactly" He turns to me with a confused expression. "What do you mean, it's Christmas for Pete's sake!" He lifts his arms into the air, and I laugh at him being so dramatic. "I don't have a lot of family, so Christmas was never my favorite holiday of the year" Halloween has always been my favorite holiday, sweets for all! "At least you had your parents, right?" Preston, you're cruising for a bruising. "No" Preston, that was your warning. Don't kick the dead horse. "What do you mean?" Preston, you have just opened a door that is meant to be shut. ALWAYS SHUT. I clench my fists. "I don't want to talk about it" I'm gritting my teeth now. Hopefully he gets the message. "That's ok, you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to" Better.

When we arrive at his apartment, his mom surprises me with a present for me in her hands. "You know you didn't have to do that!" I give her a hug and she smiles. "Oh, its no problem, sweetheart" I head into the living room to see Zach, Preston's brother, sitting on the couch. This is gonna be really awkward without Preston here. Just when I was going to say something, Zach turns his head around to face me. "Hi Skylar, nice of you to drop by" Oh, I guess they didn't tell him I was staying over. "Oh, you can call me Sky if you'd like" Now heading for the armchair, I accidentaly trip on the rug and fall on my face. "Woah, you took a pretty big tumble there" He reaches out his hand and I gladly accept it. "Thanks, I'm a bit clumsy" Scratching my head, I head straight for the armchair before I do anything else stupid. Jeez, I'm so weird I don't even have to try!

With everyone now in the living room, Preston and Zach start opening their presents. I'd say what they got, but that'd take too long. Then, when they were done, Preston grabbed a present from under the tree and turned around to give it to me. "Thank you! But you know you didn't have to" I say with a smile. "Just go ahead and open it, this is no time to be modest!" We all laugh and then I start opening the present. To my surprise, I see a fragile little snow globe with a decorated Christmas tree in the center. "*Gasps* I love it! Thank you so much!" We all exchange hugs and head to the dining table to have some Christmas dinner.

I would say the dinner part but that would be kinda boring, nothing really happened. But I will tell you the interesting part. It was turning dark so it was time for me to go. Preston said he'd walk me home so he went upstairs to get into his gear. I headed to do the same thing, when all of a sudden, Zach came speed-walking my way. By the time I noticed him coming, it was already too late. He was just looking at me eagerly while I was doing the 'huh?' face. He pointed upwards and it hit me. Mistletoe. Crap. Before I even had the chance to look back down, he gently pecked my lips. It wouldn't have been that bad, I could've not told Preston. But no. He just happened to be coming down the stairs at that exact moment. Crap.
