Stolen....Sam and Colby

I hid behind the island as Sam opened the door.

"hello, my name is Leo, I'm supposed to fix your pipes." A voice said. It wasn't just any voice it was Max's voice.

"sorry, there is nothing wrong with my pipes." Sam said.

"are you sure you don't want me to check?" he asked

Sam looked at me and I shook my head really fast.

"no, I'm okay." Sam said.

"oh, okay, well I can fix anything, if you have nay problems call me." Max said.

as "Leo" was walking out the door I peaked out from behind the island and saw the back of his head. It was definitely Max. A tear fell down my face.

"are you okay?" Kat asked

I stood up and wiped my eyes.

"that was Max." I said.

"really?" Colby asked

I nodded. All of a sudden the door opened.

"I forgot my....... there you are." he said.

I realized a tool bag by the door. He must have set it down so he had a reason to come back in. Colby grabbed me and pulled me behind him.

"what do you want?" Colby asked

" don't play dumb, give me the kid." Max said.

"no." Sam said.

"she's mine." Max said.

"prove it!" Colby said.

"on her right wrist she has a tattoo of birds." Max said.

"go away!" I yelled.

"why are you making this so hard just come with me." Max said.

"no." I said.

"everyone is looking for you so save us the wild goose chase." Max said.

Sirens blared outside and Kat came out of the other room with her phone in her hand. She had called 911. Max ran and Colby shut the door and I wiped my eyes and smiled.

" are you okay?" Kat asked I nodded.

A police came and knocked on the door.

Kat opened it and he walked in.

"where is she?" the police asked

Kat pointed to me and the police man walked over.

"well I'll be damned." the officer said.

"hi, I'm Ash." I said.

"yes, I know, I've been working on your case for 6 years now." I said.

I smiled.

"um, when do I find my dad?" I asked

the police frowned.

"I'm so sorry." He said.

"wait, why?" I asked worried.

"he committed suicide 3 years ago because people were saying that he killed you and he blamed himself for not just picking you up." The officer said.

I was speechless, my heart dropped down to the floor and I didn't know what to do. Kat hugged me and I wiped my eyes.

"what about my mom?" I asked

"your mom lives in the same house." The officer said.

"can I go see her?" I asked

" we need to do some medical checkups and stuff like that but after that yes you can go see her." the officer said.

"I don't want her to know." I said.

"what?" the officer asked

" I wan to surprise her." I said

"okay then" the officer said

" what kind of tests?" I asked

"Just some standard ones, you haven't been to the doctor in 6 years." The officer said.

"That's true." I replied.

Another officer ran into the room.

"Sir, he got away." The new officer said.

My heart sunk again.

"Find him." The first officer said

"Yes sir." The second said leaving.

"May we take her?" The officer asked.

Sam nodded.

" wait, can I come?" Kat asked.

"Sure." The officer said.

We all got into the police car and drove to the hospital where there were already news trucks everywhere.

"What the hell, how did they find out?" The officer asked himself.

I didn't say anything and neither did Kat. we all walked inside the hospital with news people crowding us.

"Stand back." The officer said holding them off with his arms.

We got inside and we were told to wait in the waiting room for a minute. The people from the news stations all had to wait outside. We all sat down in chairs and a guy my age came up to me.

"Aren't you that girl who went missing?" He asked.

"Oh, I'm ya." I said

"So your okay?" He asked

I nodded and then we were called back.
The doctor smiled at me.

"We have kind of a long visit today." The doctor said.

I nodded.

"We will have to do a couple shots because your behind on the vaccinations but after that it's just checkup." The doctor said

"Can we do the shots last?" I asked

"Oh ya sure." The doctor said.

We did the checkup and then came the part I dreaded. Shots. I hate needles they terrify me. The doctor brought out the shots but I didn't look. She did them and they stung a little but I kept my eyes closed the whole time.

"Okay this part is a little awkward, would you like officer Ryan and Katrina to leave?" She asked.

"Um can Katrina stay?" I asked

"Of course." She said.

Officer Ryan left.

"So, while you were with the man who took you did he ever sexually or physically abuse you?" The doctor asked.

"Max never sexually abused me but I remember one day he got really mad at me and he hit me but other then that he never did anything to hurt me.....he even numbed my arm before he gave me a tattoo so I couldn't feel anything." I said.

"Okay, your very pale, did you ever go outside?" The doctor asked.

"Only the day I escaped other then that no, it was torture but I didn't say anything because I was scared he would hurt me."

"Okay, that's all we need today but I want you to take vitamin c pills one a day please." The doctor said.

I nodded my head and then we left
