A few weeks later, Ember landed down in a panic.
"Iceblaze!" He called.
I opened my eyes groaning.
"Ember... I'm tired." I mumble.
"Your mother! I mean your icewing mother Queen Glacier is dying, I'm lucky that I have this bracelet that let's me travel the border, well anyways come with me quickly." Ember said.
"What!? She is..?!" I squeak.
"If you want to meet her before she dies, we have to be fast, hop on my back and I will get you there." Ember said.
"Why is mom dying?" I ask.
"Apparently Darkstalker has rerisen and enchanted all the icewings to get a fatal disease." Ember said.
"Then why isn't it affecting me?" I ask.
"Probably because you are a hybrid." Ember said.
I got onto Ember's back and he took off to the ice kingdom with me clinging tightly to him.
"Aw moons, you not used to going through the air so fast?" Ember asked.
"I'm scared, what if the tribe hates me?" I ask.
"I only told Glacier about you yesterday... she really wants to meet you, she made sure that they wouldn't." Ember said.
Hours later, Ember landed past the ice kingdom borders and started walking, after letting me down to walk beside him.
